Fernandes has looked good in that position from what I have seen. Manuel Fernandes? He hasn't played a single game at DM. Carsley was doing all the dirty work for him.
-
He's finished as a player and not good enough for us anyway. Apparently. Yeah, cause anyone who plays for Real MUST be class. They never have any shitty players. Ever.
-
Glad that Blackpool and Bristol Rovers won, they were the better of the two clubs in each match. Think they both finished higher in the league than their opponent as well.
-
Those Liverpool kits are more like Man Utd strips. Especially the black one.
-
Allardyce tried to get him to Bolton before he chose the MLS did he not? I remember there were quotes from him back then
-
I think so yes I know Dunga said he was building the new Brazil side around him and he looked good in the Champions League for Shakthar
-
Fred isn't as good as people make out. Considering he's playing in the French league his scoring record is not that impressive and doesn't justify his £10m fee. You could get the Brazilian lad from Le Mans, Grafite, who scores just as many goals as Fred for about a quarter of the price because he's not famous. Elano looks class, mind. He needs to move to western Europe to prove himself though

He's everything wrong with modern football. Complete fucking wanker that thinks he's a lot better than he actually is and pretends he's a rapper from Compton when he's actually a nice boy called Nigel. Nigel ffs! Can't see him going anywhere outside London because then he wouldn't have a brap brap crew to hang round with. Arsenal or more likely, Spurs.

Nolan is s**** mate. Nothing player. Agreed. He is complete rubbish. Most Bolton fans dislike him and can't understand why he hasn't been dropped.
-
Every time I see Newcastle Milner is one of your better players. I can't understand the stick he gets on here from some people. I'd defo have him at Everton.
-
He'd be a good signing for anyone, including the likes of Man Utd Thinking mans footballer. I've always liked him and would be quite jealous if you lot sign him.
-
We're one of the clubs linked for £2m. I hope it's not true because it would be a waste of money, he's not better than Hibbert or Neville. I'd rather we signed a left back.
-
Saha is better than Smith by a country mile. Shame he's always injured. Smith is a very average player. Technically he's hardly the most skilled and his scoring record is rubbish. All he offers in my eyes is 100% effort and nuisance value.

Have you changed your opinions on David Moyes? Will you take up the option to buy Manual Fernandes? He is a huge talent and a proven quality for you. David Moyes seems always hittting the right note in transfer market recently. I am happier with him than I was before. Largely because after his surrender of 3 points at the Spurs home match and all the boos he rightfully got in return he has changed his style and been a LOT more positive in his tactics/style of play. If that continues then I will be delighted. We won't be signing Fernandes permanently by the look of it. Probably can't afford to get him AND expand our thin squad for the extra UEFA matches. He might come to us on loan again though. Bit of a strange one, for me. Him and Gareth Barry are almost the exact same player.

Both the first two are very experienced in the Championship but at the same time, not exactly spectacular Warnock took the best part of a decade to get Sheff Utd up. Worthington completely lost the plot for Norwich after winning promotion to the Prem and ended up having them struggling at the bottom of the Championship. He obviously never impressed Mandaric in his caretaker role either. As for Stuart Pearce he has done nothing whatsoever in management. Unless making a balls up of the City job counts. Nor does he have any working knowledge of the lower league style of play and transfer market, Allen will know it inside out. I think they have made a good choice. Slightly more of as risk I suppose compared to the more established names you mention but I think the potential return is better. Lets wait and see how it works out! Here's a fans take from the BBC- http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A23071691 The Martin O'Neil comparisons are a bit early but I can see what he's getting at

I turned it off after the first half Please tell me Taylor hasn't come on before Lescott?
-
He doesn't lack stamina, he does fail to understand the concept of a tackle though

Thing is though there are many young, up and coming managers with very decent CV. Martin Allen's doesn't stand out and don't you think he is a bit of gamble considering the ambition of Mandaric? Phil Parkinson, Paul Simpson, Billy Davies, Mick McCarthy, George Burley, Brian Law, Iain Dowie. Hard to see how Martin Allen could stand out amongst them, of course unless Mandaric knows something I don't (which is very likely). Watford and Norwich appoint Boothroyd and Grant respectively despite them being largely unknown prior to the appointments. The difference is that Martin Allen is available. Every other manager you mention is contracted to a team that will be a promotion rival for Leicester

Good design imo. Throwback to a cult favourite of theirs isn't it? The giant sponsor however, looks shit. If it wasn't for that it would be a very nice kit.

The lad who's after a new club. I think Tyler is on a 10% cut of his signing on fee. Hasn't shut up about him all game.

I don't know about that (Jol and Comoli) spending £8million on the likes of Kaboul and previously Zakora at £8 million and Jenas at £9 million does not suggest to me that they could spend the £27 million "well" and "push on" to break the "Big 4 Clubs". Martin Jol is yet to prove he can buy two catalysts signings to compete and finish above the "Big 4 clubs" of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal like Sir Bobby Robson did for us with (Robert and Bellamy). I think losing Carrick in a similar scenario last Summer was a huge blow for Spurs aspirations of breaking the "Big 4 clubs" despite earning £17 million off of the deal I think it would be exactly the same were they to lose Berbatov for £27 million. £27 million however i think would certainly help them to consistently finish in the Top 6 something they have done consecutively in the last two season for the first time in there Premiership history. £27m would only get Spurs more of the same. Players too good for teams not challenging for European places but not good enough for the very top teams. Why? Because any top class player upon his club accepting a Spurs bid would look at them selling Carrick and Berbatov in consecutive seasons and think "No thanks, this club isn't going places"

Good shout. When I have seen he has played CB or DM/CM not sure what he would be like at RB but he looks like has bit about him. We have signed the likes O'B & Bramble from clubs who have went down before & it hasn't worked out long term. He won't be short of suitor as a centre back or defensive midfielder. I doubt he would want to relegate himself to a full back. He should go to Everton as replacement for the aging Carsley and Stubb. £4m 'done deal' according to someone on an Everton board. Then the thread was mysteriously deleted by a mod with no explanation. As for Hreidarsson I'm astonished that he continues to be signed by Premiership clubs. He's been consistently gash for years. I reckon Campbell will leave as well, they have the following centre backs: Distin Primus Hreidarsson Stefanovic 4 is enough for anyone. Plus, there's Traore and Pamarot who have both filled in there under 'Arry

Looks a good manager in the making to me. Did a great job at Brentford when you consider they were in the playoffs two years straight under him and then got relegated as soon as he left. Seems like a bit of a character as well. Funny that Neil 'I want to stay in the Prem' Warnock can't even get a Championship job

Darren Bent is by no means a target man We have an option to take a gamble with Carroll, or try and sign one those: Nikola Zigic, Jan Koller, Alan Smith (can work great as a target man) , Stefen Iversen (scored something like 20+ goals this season), etc.. But i don't think a player like Darren Bent will do us any good at the moment.. Darren Bent plays well upfront on his own for Charlton. Whilst not very big he's good in the air and is good at holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Bent can play as a target man very well if need be. As you say, he's deceptively good in the air and has a decent touch. A lot of people seem to be under the misconception that you have to be pushing 7 foot and/or built like a brick shithouse to be a target man. Oh, and if you're pacey you automatically must NOT be a target man.

The Liverpool Echo seemed pretty confident a couple of days ago that we would sign him. Mind you, benni McCarthy signed for us about 3 times according to them. Are you going to keep hold of Manny? Don't know. I think they're trying to get Benfica to loan him again next season.
