  1. Good shout. When I have seen he has played CB or DM/CM not sure what he would be like at RB but he looks like has bit about him. We have signed the likes O'B & Bramble from clubs who have went down before & it hasn't worked out long term. He won't be short of suitor as a centre back or defensive midfielder. I doubt he would want to relegate himself to a full back. He should go to Everton as replacement for the aging Carsley and Stubb. £4m 'done deal' according to someone on an Everton board. Then the thread was mysteriously deleted by a mod with no explanation. As for Hreidarsson I'm astonished that he continues to be signed by Premiership clubs. He's been consistently gash for years. I reckon Campbell will leave as well, they have the following centre backs: Distin Primus Hreidarsson Stefanovic 4 is enough for anyone. Plus, there's Traore and Pamarot who have both filled in there under 'Arry

    Martin Allen

Looks a good manager in the making to me. Did a great job at Brentford when you consider they were in the playoffs two years straight under him and then got relegated as soon as he left. Seems like a bit of a character as well. Funny that Neil 'I want to stay in the Prem' Warnock can't even get a Championship job
  3. Darren Bent is by no means a target man We have an option to take a gamble with Carroll, or try and sign one those: Nikola Zigic, Jan Koller, Alan Smith (can work great as a target man) , Stefen Iversen (scored something like 20+ goals this season), etc.. But i don't think a player like Darren Bent will do us any good at the moment.. Darren Bent plays well upfront on his own for Charlton. Whilst not very big he's good in the air and is good at holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Bent can play as a target man very well if need be. As you say, he's deceptively good in the air and has a decent touch. A lot of people seem to be under the misconception that you have to be pushing 7 foot and/or built like a brick shithouse to be a target man. Oh, and if you're pacey you automatically must NOT be a target man.
  4. The Liverpool Echo seemed pretty confident a couple of days ago that we would sign him. Mind you, benni McCarthy signed for us about 3 times according to them. Are you going to keep hold of Manny? Don't know. I think they're trying to get Benfica to loan him again next season.

  6. The Brazilian James Beattie.
  7. Exactly. One of my mates is one of the most level headed people you'll ever meet, he's recently joined the poliss, but he's a smashing kid despite that. He's just been on the phone there "I FUCKIN HATE THEM c***s, THEY'LL NEVER LEARN." This is one of the most placid people you'll ever meet. I think the secrets out that they're the biggest bunch of c***s on these islands, something I've known for years. Celtic went to Seville, all 10m of them - no trouble. Chelsea (?!?!) went to Stockholm no storming of the gates no trouble Arsenal went to Copenhagen 94 (forget about 2000 that wasn't their fault). Paris 2006 - no trouble Man Utd went to Rotterdam and Barcelona - no trouble Boro went to Eindhoven - no trouble Liverpool went to Brussels and Athens - one the biggest riot in European Football history in which they tried to blame everybody, including Chelsea fans, Thatcher, the police and the stadium. Athens 2006- they rob their own fans, they storm the gates (scum with no memories), they steal tickets out of their own fans hands, they call themselves the best fans in the world. THEY ARE PURE SCUM, defend them all you like but that's all they are, they're scum, they're no hooligans - just the dregs of society, why can the above come away from European finals with their reputations intact and these bastards can't? Because they're scum. Rant over. Stevie, you missed out tens of thousands of Everton fans in Rotterdam, '85. Mass football matches with the locals and the coppers. Celtic fans travelling with Evertonians to the game to support the blues after getting robbed in the semi by Rapid. No bother at all. So please don't make out this is a purely scouse thing. It's a Liverpool FC thing.
  8. Mohamed Tchite is the best striker in Belgium Both of them would probably be average in the Premiership though
  9. The Liverpool Echo seemed pretty confident a couple of days ago that we would sign him. Mind you, benni McCarthy signed for us about 3 times according to them.
  10. Can't believe he's playing Dawson and Shorey ahead of Lescott. Then again, it is McClaren.

    Bale signs for Spurs

Turn it in Jol. Fucks sake mate.
  12. Before and after. I'm listening to a local phone in, people are phoning up from Athens or after speaking to friends over there. People fighting each other for tickets off touts, attacking & robbing their own, getting in with fakes or even with no tickets while fans with genuine tickets are locked out. It's also in one of the broadsheets (Times?)
  13. Yeah, they're great people. So great that they were beating other fans up to rob their tickets, jumping the gates, clashing with police etc etc Cunts give this city a bad name
  14. Any of you lads after a bus? Going cheap http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/6706/phot00033jpgfx8.jpg http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/4807/phot00034jpgcg7.jpg
  15. Texts and emails going round already: LIVERPOOL FAN ? Feelin depressed? Can't sleep ? Can't speak to your friends about it? Call our helpline 0800 101010 thats 0800 WON NOTHING WON NOTHING WON NOTHING
  16. Liverpool fans complaining about "negative tactics" from Milan "just soaking it up and then scoring with their only chances" er.... have you seen the way your own team have been playing since the Houllier days? Five Live is comedy gold at the minute
  17. Oh, the irony of Liverpool fans complaining about refs and luck. You couldn't make it up.
  18. You don't understand. Stevie G Laaa would have scored a brace if those seconds were played. They wuz robbed.
  19. pmsl at the losers on Five Live now
  20. You do realise Everton have spent £15m or more in the last two seasons right? I see no reason for it to suddenly stop We wouldn't spend it on one player though. And if we did I reckon it would be someone good, not Jenas.
  21. It probably was looking done and dusted until Chelsea threw their hat into the ring at a later date

    Morgan buys Wolves

He wasn't going to be investing hundreds of millions in LFC. Basically, his "offer" was to underwrite a share issue, whereby all existing shareholders would be asked to double their investment to maintain their current stocks, and he would buy up on the cheap anyone who didn't want to pay twice for something they already own. He was trying to get the club on the cheap. There's no comparison with Wolves because Wolves isn't worth hundreds of millions. Oh right, I thought it was a normal purchase offer he made for LFC. It was always reported on news sites with headlines like "Morgan makes £XXX million bid for Liverpool". Seems odd for someone not on the board to suggest a share issue. I know Wolves aren't worth hundreds of millions but they're worth £30m if not more. So surely if he is getting the club for free he should be investing more than he's gained? Just doesn't seem as good a deal for them as it could/should be. Fantastic gesture by the chairman though.
  23. At Everton there's a plastic swipe card for season tickets Single match tickets are still paper but they have a barcode thing on the end which the swipe machine reads
  24. Is this numbers reliable? Not in the slightest. The Everton figure constantly amuses me. I think our shirt sponsorship is £2m/2.5m btw, not £1.5m. It went up after the first year, not just an extension
  25. Absolutely piss poor this season. Anyone who says otherwise is just talking crap because he's a famous name He was also the worst diver I saw visit Goodison all season which is disgusting for a defender.
