Goodison can be pretty tasty when the occasion calls for it like. Virtually all grounds now are dead for 95% of games though. One of the most famous atmospheres was against Don Revie's Leeds. This is a great read imo, but pretty long. http://www.mightyleeds.co.uk/matches/19641107.htm Imagine a game like that now

Wouldn't go that far. Sounds good but not great, especially considering what a massive game this is.

Since when?! He's a joke player. Anyway, if the deal automatically becomes permanent upon promotion then I think Stoke will be kicking themselves! He's already been found out there and dropped to the bench. If it's not an automatic thing then I don't think they will take up the option to sign him. I'm no fan of Shola but he hasn't been 'found out' he is simply not match fit. He was starting games when he first went there, played badly and is now on the bench. That seems like he's been dropped to me but maybe I'm wrong.

"I'd give him a big kiss" He was pretty much spot on with everything he said there.

I hope Leicester go down. They are a vile club. Fantastic club. http://www.bluekipper.com/obituaries/bernard_murphy.htm

It won't come out if Sven wants his contract paid up. Do you know something I don't? Standard procedure. Get your contract paid up, keep your mouth shut. But if he digs his heels in and forces Shinawatra to sack him, surely he'll get his contract paid and he can say what he wants? There's usually still clauses in there. I'm sure Shinawatra's people in particular would have been well on top of that kind of thing from day one. The whole reason he bought the club was for PR reasons so he won't want some famous football coach slagging him off in the tabloids for being a lunatic.

L'Equipe says we're in talks with Modeste MBami from Marseille allegedly. Been linked to loads of players from France, past 2weeks

Bit harsh. Not really. I was absolutely livid at the ref today. Let your players away with murder and gave Yakubu one of the most ridiculous bookings considering what he was turning a blind eye to by Villa. Ashley Young going over the top of the ball twice, dragging Lescott to the floor when he was on the ground, diving a couple of times- no booking. Carew had 90mins that would make Kevin Davies wince- no booking. Agbonlahor and Barry cynically handball to gain an advantage during attacks- no bookings. A draw was a fair result overall because you had the better of the first half and we had the better of the second half. That doesn't mean I'm not right to be pissed off with the ref though. He was a joke.

Carew scores the equaliser when the lanky cunt shouldn't have even been on the pitch after nearly busting Carsley's nose open with an elbow and constant fouling for 90mins. He never even got a yellow card from that incompetent fat shithouse Dowd.

Robinson by a mile. Both will be gone soon anyway. Both of them on free's KD? Any idea where they're ending up, any news yet? Same problem as we'll have with Smith kd, for all you say they'll both be gone, someone has to want to take them. As much as it might upset brummie, I could see Robinson ending up at Villa though I think Robinson will end up at Boro with Schwarzer leaving 3-2 to Celtic now btw.

The fact Weir has done so well there shows the gulf in class between the SPL & the Premiership He was very good for us when he was younger but in his last two seasons was largely poor and clearly over the hill. Then he goes up to Scotland and is one of the main men at the best team in the league.

What's happened to ABN AMRO?

Unfortunately they wouldn't have to sell the likes of Torres. That's just a headline to make you read it. More likely someone like Alonso who is already possibly out of favour/on the way downhill and give Lucas more games instead of buying a replacement.
-
The Chelsea one looks like something a lucky lucky man would sell you. Bad collar. That Sunderland one is shit. I hate Umbro. Bet ours is exactly the same apart from the colours.
-
I thought it was usually Luisao and David Luiz at the back? I see what you're getting at though, the squad is quite Bolton-esque circa 2005
-
When he plays in midfield (which is most of the time unfortunately) Phil Neville is fucking tragic. Must be one of the worst Everton midfielders of all time. He's ok at right back.
-
A dose of realism. Still, I'm enjoying tonight's result while it lasts. Riise MOTM

Moyes was at a Zenit game watching him the other day according to Russian papers, it's made it onto the Setanta website now as well Signed Pienaar today £2m. Bargain.

Why do people say "Pool"? It sounds fucking ridiculous. I've never heard a scouser use that word. Anyway, I agree with you that Friedel is a good and underrated keeper like, probably not as important to Blackburn as you're making out though.
-
Can you not read? fuck me. The BBC said there are unconfirmed reports that the victim of a road accident was a rival fan. Even if it was a Brum fan that happened to run over a Villa fan it could still have been an accident. Rumours like that are bloody dangerous.

You'll beat us easily. Our players have been on their holidays and rolled over in every game since the Fiorentina 2nd leg. The only reason we've picked up a few points in that time is because most of the teams we've faced have been wank. Fucking terrible end to a promising season. Everyone is on a downer.
