Hopefully Tim Howard is gazing at a trap door to the MLS.

I might have a bit of a cry if they flog Stones. Much rather Barkley or Coleman were sold. Not that we should have to sell anyone, with the new TV cash and complete lack of investment by the board.

I don't think it was fickle because Pardew was/is a crap manager. Probably a bit of a waste targeting the manager rather than Ashley though, since his stewardship of the club is the real problem.

Helps that he put in more effort in 30mins tonight than I've seen from him in 12 months. Shockingly lazy in a blue shirt all season. His form hasn't been helped by Martinez fucking him around on the wing but he's got a lot to answer for himself too.

This is our worst league campaign (at this stage of a season) for 88 years. We're sleep walking to relegation while Martinez persists with the same ridiculous tactics, the same players constantly out of position and the same completely unbalanced formation every single week with no adjustments for the opposition or our own performances. It's become glaringly obvious that last season was a case of Martinez benefiting from inheriting Moyes' defensive unit and giving the team a bit more freedom going forward. Now that he's been coaching the defence for 18 months, they've gone from one of the best in the league to a disaster zone. My worry is that Kenwright is too much of a coward to sack him. The good form in Europe is clouding the issue too.

Have Villa got any decent young players in the reserves? As much as I dislike Sherwood, one of the things he did well at Spurs was giving the likes of Bentaleb & Kane their chance.
-
Even if he keeps Villa up, I think I'd rather get relegated by Lambert than let Tim Sherwood be associated with my club. One of the biggest cunts in football.

I don't think Cleverley should be putting all his eggs in the Everton basket. Wouldn't surprise me if Martinez wasn't here come the summer. Lots of rumours about a split dressing room, certain players being against him etc

been played as some kind of deep lying playmaker isn't he? why just why idiotic decision No, he's been played as a left winger for most of the season. Which is even more idiotic. Natives getting restless yet? Restless but not mutinous yet. Attitude is generally that people like Martinez, love how we played last season and don't want to see him sacked. At the same time, people appreciate that this slump can't go on much longer or we'll be in trouble and there won't be much choice but to sack him.

Scored a great goal vs Palace too. Thought he looked good years ago at Birmingham too Came on against us at Goodison and changed the game. Strange one letting him go.

Martinez has created himself a total mess by changing the tactics this season. Bizarre really. Can't understand what exactly is making him select sides full of players out of position and with no width every week? He's totally nullifying arguably our two best players, Baines & Coleman. Barkley looks lost whenever he's not in the middle. The less said about the defending the better. The drop off in Barry & Distin has been scary, both look completely shot. I think the only hope for the season now is to turn it around in the league somewhat and sneak top 10 while having a decent run in the Europa League and/or FA Cup. Tragic we're at that stage already, considering how good we looked on paper in the summer and the general positivity around the whole club.
-
We're probably the worst team in the league at the minute. I'll be shocked if we don't win the passing and lose by 2 goals.
-
Judging by the death stare he gave Jamie Redknapp for pulling out Chelsea, yes.
-
Looks a real find this kid. Lovely goal today.

Lukaku has been disappointing. Started the season poorly (but apparently playing through injury) so some people are getting on his back. Jozy bad though? Come on Anyone saying Coleman is a weak link wants their head testing. One of our best players week in, week out. Not many better right backs than him around.

You should have had 9 men but regardless, we dominated possession and had more chances. Love to hear how you should have won it. Wickham you could argue could have been sent off. I'll agree. Thought he got a toe on the ball but it's a difference of opinion. Don't know where you've pulled nine men from. We had a shot cleared off the line at 1-1 in the 90th minute. Howard made a good save from Gomez first half. The three clear cut chances Everton had were Lukaku hitting the post, the one on one from Bridcutts mistake and the penalty. We were by no means outplayed. Fairly even game that I thought we could have pinched at the end. Could argue I'm looking at this through red and white specs. Could say you're looking through blue ones? The 9 men is Wickham and Gomez for his dive in the box during the first half. On the replay you can see that Mason is going to blow his whistle (and presumably book him) until he realises it's Gomez who was already on a yellow. You could have pinched it with the shot off the line yeah, but that doesn't mean you should have won. Our final ball in and around the box was piss poor, we had the possession and opportunities to be 1 or 2 up before you scored the free kick imo. You looked dangerous at times on the break though.

Under Moyes he was average at best, often shit. In Moyes' last season he was horrific. Then he had his best ever run of form in Martinez's first season and got rewarded with a new deal. This season he's been back to the same old shit and is costing us points regularly again. He's just been interviewed and put it all on the players in the wall
-
Wish he'd have learned how to set up a wall and position himself on free kicks sometime in the last 15 years of playing footy I don't even know what to say about the lying on the ball outside the box thing.
-
A few years ago we started a home game against Chelsea with Denis Stracqualursi up front. This week we could start with Eto'o and Lukaku up front against them.
-
I used to feel this way, but it might be too annoying. Imagine that Everton front four of Lukaku, Mirallas, Barkley and Ben Arfa. Unbearable man. Ben Arfa would be a great signing for us, especially at the knocked down fee talked about. Think I'll wait for a better source than the Surrey Mirror before I get too excited though. Also seems like the Atsu deal is back on now so that might change things. Personally, I think we need another midfielder and a striker even if we get Atsu.

Vermaelen still living off the hype of scoring a few good goals in his first season with Arsenal. He's been utter shite for about 2 years now.
