Frustrating. Not sure how to feel about the transfer window as a whole. 10/10 for effort, but we need a major overhaul of the recruitment team between now and the end of the season IMO. Too much time spent chasing clubs who didn't want to sell and players who didn't want to come.

I'm not ando, but if you want a vague post I can do those too Several surprise names on the horizon for the summer window, watch this space.
-
Aye. Every time a forward we've been linked to has failed to sign he's got a little bit worse.
-
Can't see us getting anyone from abroad now. I suspect all of our eggs are in the Lingaard basket now.
-
Irrelevant if Man Utd don't want to loan to a rival, though.
-
Don't agree with Luke that it's a luxury buy, like. Another attacking player would make things look a lot more comfortable.
-
Contacting the players agents first to see if there'd be any interest in joining is usually how all deals work these days, from what I gather.
-
Still mathematically possible for us to win the league iirc
-
Not sure what to expect tomorrow, but with the way we've been messed around by other clubs this window, I'd be surprised to see loads of business suddenly concluded. I guess we'll see, but I suspect it could be a frustrating day.

You're like a broken record on this one man if we sign him, it's an additional body that we wouldn't have had under Ashley. We've clearly been exhaustive in our search elsewhere, I'm confident that if our business ends with Nketiah, it's the best they've been able to do in a window where clubs don't want to sell, and players aren't compelled to join a relegation battle. He offers something different. We badly lack someone who's able to make runs in behind. Willock looked an equally strange deal last winter and he went on to keep us in the league.

The audio will be the tip of the iceberg.

Criminally underrated player. Good signing.
-
A player like Nketiah up front changes the dynamic of the team imo. He's very raw but has something about him, especially in his movement. His pressing is also excellent whenever I've seen him. Not sure he fully suits arsenal's style of play and I think he could turn out to be quite a shrewd singing. Certainly no more of a risk than some of the attackers we've been linked with from abroad.
-
Not bothered about Bakker like, don't think LB is as pressing as other areas. Would get more benefit from adding that £16m to a revised bid for Carlos or Botman.
-
Centre back or two is essential. Striker would be nice but we can probably get away without one if we stop shipping so many goals, I think.
-
Carrasco would be a great signing but I can't see us spending €60m on one player like, it just doesn't seem to fit our M.O this window.
-
Romano's not usually too far off like, despite being a bit iffy this window. Believe he was the first journo who was adamant that Digne wouldn't be coming here when our bid went in, so he has got some things right off his own back.
-
Not sure about that like, he's a regular in one of the best defenses in the league, £15m sounds about right in the January window.
-
Probably, aye, but it seems to be a bit of a recurring theme that the way we're going about it isn't working. If the reports are to be believed, anyway.
-
If true, I don't really understand the installments approach like. Fair enough for older players where we may want a stop-gap signing to have less impact on our budget, but for a player like this who your team is going to be built around, just stump the money up if it's there.
-
Would be disappointed if we got to next week without a centre half, like.
-
You're not wrong, to be fair. The back and forth literally was a waste of time if it ends up fruitless; that doesn't mean anyone was at fault, just that in hindsight it's taken up time that could've been used elsewhere, and obviously that justifies some frustration - not at the club, or the player, or even at Sevilla, just at the outcome.
-
Can't really blame them, like. We've pretty much gone out of our way to upset one of their key players and piss them off.
-
I'll form an opinion on it when someone credible says we've actually make a bid. The links I've seen are tenuous at best.
-
Don't really know much about Nat Phillips as a player, but the only transfer link I can even see regarding him is the opinion of Mark Douglas on the previous page? Not sure it's worth getting wound up over.
