  1. He might well be a better wingback than fullback, too.
  2. Hmmm, Ki for Hayden maybe? We played three days ago - there's every possibility there might be a bit more rotation going on.
  3. Perhaps he's so familiar with the forum that his eyes glaze over when he sees the poster
  4. I thought that, but then I thought that there’s no money available due to paying off that new stadium and thought that might put him off. He's moulding shit into gold here - I reckon he might be able to make something work with Kane, Son, Eriksen, Alli, all the fucking rest...
  5. I don't particularly rate him, but agree with the notion that Leicester is a good fit. It's a good stage to demonstrate if he really does have something about him anymore, and if he's as ordinary as me and a few other commentators feel, then he'll demonstrate that too. I'd be surprised if he lasts there as long as he did at Liverpool.
  6. One thing I noticed against Huddersfield more than any of his other recent performances, he wasn't knocked off the ball anywhere near as many times. He actually stood up to some shoulder barges and tackles really well.. hopefully it's finally clicked A large part of the reason he looked less than brilliant at the start of the season is that he and the striker were often very isolated, and it was easy for defences to swarm two or even three defenders on him whenever he was trying to bring the ball forward. That doesn't happen so much any more
  7. In my mind, this chant is followed by the awards ceremony for the worst nickname in the world - Almiron taking the title ahead of Fluffy Magee and Cuddles Smith. You no like miggy?
  8. That puts an end to the weird hopes of some who wanted him here. Hope the cunt never gets hired again.
  9. VAR is going to be so fun in the Premier League next season. The fact that this does look like handball to some people shows that it's not that controversal. RIP Serie A FFS. I'm still not 100% sure after watching that. Of course it’s controversial. If the referee has to watch it 50 odd times before making a decision it’s probably not handball. It’s almost as if he was trying convince himself it was. Even you said you weren’t sure, so you wouldn’t have given it then? Cant just guess at these things. RIP football more like. That's a bit dramatic. The system isn't perfect but its an improvement and it'll be tweaked with time. As for this decision, it's not a clear handball, therefore its not an obvious error and shouldn't have been overturned. This decision was originally handball/penalty. It was very clearly and obviously not handball, and therefore should have been overturned. I definitely agree with the "convincing himself" - no doubt knowing his original call was wrong, and wondering how to shoehorn reality into his own narrative.
  10. Wow, just like in FM - I didn't think that was real
  11. for his ability to completely go to pieces in the box “And this guy we call Giant” “On account of him being 7’ 11” tall”
  12. The one from the video above, in the 97th minute to give Fiorentina a draw? You legitimately think that was the correct decision?
  13. Nerazzurri get fucked in the ass by officialdom as much as the Toon.
  14. In my mind, this chant is followed by the awards ceremony for the worst nickname in the world - Almiron taking the title ahead of Fluffy Magee and Cuddles Smith.
  15. Yeah, Clark was a very, very good player. He did earn the nickname Jigsaw, though.
  16. Imagine a time-traveller from the 90s reading that tweet. “famously thrifty Magpies” indeed
  17. Really no need to bother with that anymore. We’re not going down.
  18. If this is true, it would mean Rafa is staying and I owe 4 stars out of 5 £50. Don’t think I’ll be writing the cheque out just yet
  19. I'm probably slipping more and more into cultism with it tbh , but the more I watch him the more I find it laughable that he hasn't won more or less every Balon D'or since 2008 tbh. I find it laughable that anyone other than Pele and Maradona are still mentioned alongside him and Ronaldo has never been anywhere near him. I agreed with this before I saw the highlights which confirmed the truth of it. Every time I see him, it’s like being reminded what “the best” actually means.
  20. That's not true since he was very good towards the end of last season, was crucial in keeping us up Indeed - he was out of form for a couple of months at the start of this season (like virtually everyone), but he's probably been our best player over the last 12 months.
  21. Nah he played in behind Valère Germain in the 10 role, Germain was brilliant that season as well. Nice played some brilliant stuff. And there in lies the problem with some football fans- just make things up to suit a story Steady on - asking for clarification of a hazy memory is different from making things up to suit a story
  22. Wasn't he playing as a false 9 for Nice, arguably his best body of work?
  23. Nope, no contest. It has to be Perez and Almiron, for me.
