He seems not to care which doesn't do him any good in the eyes of fans. Think football fans generally can accept shit players as long as they look like they care and put the effort in for the shirt. His problem is he doesn't look arsed when he loses the ball or look like he's going to make an effort to win it back, and that's when you leave the door open for abuse. Not condoning it obviously, it's so infantile to abuse someone directly to their face like that, but rules change regarding sport/football where people are more passionate and reactionary so you'd hope he'll be able to brush it off. You never know, it might even make him want to prove a point on the field.

He'll probably do well there, about 3 million too much though.

47 points with Pienaar to play, with possible bonus points for Hazard, Tevez and Ba. 27th in N-O. /jonasnotbad

Think we did enough to stay in the game, and when you do that you've always got a chance of winning with the quality we possess. Spurs are a good and balanced side tbf so this is a valuable win. They probably deserved a point though. We keep the ball so much better playing 433 as well, and are less predictable. First half they pressured high and we had no ideas, looked very rigid and incapable of breaking them down, good change from Pards but I see no reason to play 442 at all tbh...

He's such a tit, but a lovable one.

He'd be stupid to go there permanently, I don't think he'll agree to it. Not been able to decide whether I want him back up to now, but as long as the deal for him doesn't jeopardise deals for other positions (Douglas, Anita) I'd take him back. Would give us a much needed threat from set pieces and a fit and motivated Carroll is a different beast to anything we've got.
