Presumably the fault of my antiquated laptop but it's only quoting the final post of thread, apologies I meant to quote the link to the article.

Why can't people say penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John Hartson like Chris Waddle there is no such thing as a pelanty
-
One of the many things that annoys me about articles like that is the feel that all the money spent by the club comes from Mike Ashley's pocket. It's as if the club has no revenue strings, no season ticket money, no sky money etc. etc.

So who do we get? Names please, not a Pardew fan or hater to be honest, genuine question. Which manager comes in does better and works within the framework setup by MA/DL? Seriously cannot understand questions like this at all. As fans we have no idea how much Ashley is willing to fork out or who he is willing to work with so any names mentioned would just be a fans personal preference, which someone then turns around and says "we'll never get him" If Ashley wanted to replace Pardew there are dozens of managers out there who could do a better job with our squad. So who would be your personal preference? It's so easy to say sack this sack that but you need a replacement, so many examples of sackings that... I havn't got a specific personal preference but as I said anyone anyway anyone naming theirs is utterly pointless. We have no idea of the availability of managers and who the owners would wish to work with. There are however hundreds of managers out there who are better than Pardew and the odds suggest that at least 1 of them would be willing to come here. That's fair enough anyone but Pardew it is then, shame as it renders a discussion thread a bit redundant but...

I've spent longer than 5 months wanting a batter manager than Pardew. Please name who you think is better and more importantly realistic Martinez Montanier Poyet Ketsbaia Garcia Me You Him Them They Anyone ? Fair enough I asked for names, rule me out though I'd be rubbish, far too angry

It would give the crowd and hopefully the dressing room a big lift as would the much needed new centre half
-
To be honest I wouldn't want my premier centre half applauding anyone after conceding 7 in the game straight after conceding 4. Difficult away games I admit and I'm a big Colo fan and I'm in no way blaming him, I think it was the right thing for him to do rather than a sign of dressing room issues. We do need to get him a partner in January though.

How good is the Ivory Coast midfield Cheick & Ya Ya Toure scary good that's how!

Alan Green crap commentator and Liverpool fan was whinging on 5 Live tonight that the ref said he saw the incident and saw nothing wrong. If that's right then the FA can do diddly but no doubt Howard Webb be on high alert tomorrow night.

History would suggest your right not to hold your breath, hopefully we're both proven wrong but ....

What's your beef with Keegan?

Is the right answer -
Fair enough, I don't give Boro much attention I just thought Wheater looked better than Taylor when both clubs went down but I'll take your word for it.
-
Would be another good option, looked excellent a while ago, only concern would why he's disappeared off the radar for a while. Has he been injured?
-
I think Wheater's contract runs out this season as well, if so Wheater in Taylor out would improve the squad.

Very positive quotes from Fabio about Carroll, that used to mean more than it does now but positive none the less
-
Stupid comment. Aye righto. He was fantastic. You can't rush young players is my point. Henderson was tidy, but looked slightly over-awed by the whole occasion. He clearly needs a bit more time in the U21's before being included in the 30-35 man pool of English players considered for squads. He's shown for Sunderland he has potential to play at that level, it's just going to take time. But yeah, stupid comment. I agree, Henderson had passed me by recently as I hadn't seen what a lot of people were talking about but I thought he did well against Chelsea stiffs. Tonight he was ok a bit quiet, over-awed was a good phrase but I did feel sorry for him whwn he got the yellow card after pulling out of the tackle then seeing the French cunt jump 3 feet in the air and roll around like a stunt man.

For me Carroll is looking the same player with the same strenghts and weaknesses as he did last year but the difference is it's now in the Premiership and England which is huge. Quite often the sign of a good player is that he looks the same no matter what the team is and to be fair Andy did that tonight.
