Great post this. I was a huge fan of his work at the Times but this move to work with litte Ryder and that puller who hosts their podcast looks worse by the day. He was better off being a good writer in the background. Him increasing his profile hasn't helped him in terms of credibility imho. Winter's the best around when it comes to writing about us nowadays imo.

Given the pre-season reaction to this cunt, this season could get very messy indeed. Particularly because he won't walk, Ashley will certainly not sack him and Bruce will keep getting it wrong in the press. Toxicity will be the watch word. I honestly hope we make his life an utter utter misery.

This deal is fucked. Staveley and Co. need to be urgently working with Ashley on a new purchase structure with a view to bringing PIF on board at a later date. If they're not doing that, the deal will fall apart due to the legal case hurdles/failures and PIF will walk. They absolutely HAVE to be prioritising a new deal structure otherwise this one is sunk.

My feeling is that the Reubens only want it from the real estate perspective (i.e: taking the benefits of the profile/access owning NUFC affords particularly with local councils etc etc). I don't think they actually want to run the full thing. Why they can't buy it BUT have an underwritten agreement with PIF to come aboard later is beyond me.

Jordan on Talksport now saying (live on Talksport) that it can't happen because of piracy in KSA. He's (and the PL are) of the opinion that it is a state backed takeover because MBS personally intervened at Government level which demonstrates PIF is KSA government backed. O&D's test is working properly according to SJ. The arbitration process has fallen through because the PL has asked NUFC to unequivacally prove that the Saudi Government is not involved in piracy. AS didn't do proper due diligence and has put the Saudi's in a bad position reputationally. The only way it happens is if they allow a way to sue through the KSA Courts for piracy according to SJ. Oh, and he still sounds like a grade A cunt.
