Newcastle United vs Arsenal - 5/2/2011 - Pre match despair

Fuck a duck. We're gonna get raped. -
Do the local media brown nose the club/Ashley too much?

Yep - David Craig is the new Alan Oliver that's for sure. -
Agreed. The last player I can think of that had some passing similarities to Ginola was probably Pires.
-
I would imagine it's needed for insurance purposes e.g: if you don't do one the fella is not insured. Just a shame we've only got Shola on a fire and theft policy otherwise we could've claimed. Unless someone's handy with matches/enjoys a bit of kidnapping?

Don't take it. Play skins.

Local media have little choice but I'm very surprised the Caulkins of the world don't give him more shit/do more investigative stuff. -
I'm happy we've got the lad and will look forward to seeing him. Just hope fucknut finds a system that he can fit into so we can at least see him given a fair crack of the whip.
-
Ginola every single time.
-
I agree TT. I think he's been gearing up to that over the last twelve months and, in that respect, they couldn't have gone better for him. At this rate, he'll make nowhere near the loss he would have 2 years ago.
-
Yep - he's ripe for a headline or two soon. "Carroll, Liverpools £35m record buy, on a reported £80k per week wage, was last night accused of nobbing his dog in the face because it farted. "
-
One of his worse games last night though still showed his quality at points. Great player and I'm secretly pleased his off day was live to the world thanks to the medium of Sky.
-
Needs a goal. Very poor last night and he's in tire need of someone taking him to one side and explaining how to maximise his strengths. I think there's something there though.
-
Yep - could be absolutely massive.

This is Mike-Ashley-Online.com. Don't speak out of turn about the man that's laying the foundations for long term future success at NUFC. at the people complaining at the lad smiling ffs. Ridiculous. Come off it man, the vast majority don't think that at all. There are just as many people on Toontastic who stick up for him as well. I don't read this forum that often tbh, Dave. Mainly because of some of the outlandish support that I've read in the past for that fucking fat arsehole. The poll on this thread tells a story though. Carroll left the club he said he loves despite barely being into a very decent, long contract and giving up the #9 shirt. Are you seriously suggesting there shouldn't be people pissed off at him at least in part for this? I think it's ridiculous to expect him to knock back what amounts to a difference of £14m in wages alone over the course of the 5 years. It was the club's responsibility to a) not put the deal in front of him, or b ) accept that his value had changed once Liverpool offered that contract, and acted to secure their asset. They failed on both counts. At that stage, I don't blame the player for leaving at all. Yep. If an asset is worth £35m you've got to either look after it or, if you feel it's maximised, sell it. They cashed in. Said the same from day one. I don't blame Carroll for leaving when it was clear he wasn't appropriately appreciated/valued where he was. ah so just hand out new contracts every couple of months completely breaking a well established wage structure what a way to run a club Will we need to when it's highly unusual for a players value/reputation to rocket in such a short timeframe? I doubt it.

Same old story then... laying any blame on Carroll = support for the owners Laying the blame exclusively on Carroll, as 44% have done, shows an inability to assess the situation at best. Support for the owner at worst.

Yep. No competition mind.

Fucking toothless.

Cracking fullback. Tossrag.

Exactly, anything can happen, it's a funny game.
