Ouch. Villa with more or less all purples on the pitch too

Dude is 25 already and has 30 something games for you under his belt. How much further do you think he can develop?
-
Difficult to say, but I think there would be quite a few championship teams that would be interested around that price range. The main sticking point is his wages. He's one of our highest earners, and he would not get even remotely close to that at any championship team so from a financial pov he'd be best off sitting out his contract here and move down to a championship club when his contact has expired. The alternative is to knock off his price/give him away to offset the wages he would demand if we just want him off our books. Doubt Howe would be keen on that though.

They finally play Sancho in his best position and get a good game out of him, and now they want to spend close to £100m on a new RW?
-
Draw would be nice here. If one team has to win I'd prefer it was Liverpool.

I don't understand it. Fair enough if you for some weird reason think he is a credible source, but the people who just hate follow him and on top of that share his tweets on here knowing that the only person benefitting from doing that is Edwards just baffles me. Thick af.
-
He has excellent movement, and is really good at creating space to pass the ball in tight spaces, but you very rarely see him dribble past a player since he is fairly slow.
-
Weird thing to say on the back of two games against two excellent sides where he's played at LB. Edit: and one game at CB where he was flawless.
-
Didn't fully grasp it either. Was it looked at as a potential handball by Wilson, offside or both? Or something else?

It's been a great day for everyone. Put down the drink and go to bed Rod.

I think he'll struggle more against pacy wingers. Neither Foden or Bernardo Silva are particularly fast, hence why Trippier and Burn handled them pretty well. I don't think the injury has affected him at all since it was a bone fracture, not muscle/tendon injury, he's just never been very fast. His contribution on and off the pitch far outweights his limited limitations.

Every single player had a few shaky moments against Man City. It's hardly criticism to point out, though a bit weird if Botmans thread is the only place people have made the comment to single him out. He'll be immense for us.
-
Looked like he was running with a cramp for the last 10 minutes. Didn't stop running though.
-
We already have Trippier for corners and free kicks. We can find better players for a lower price to provide what he can outside of set pieces.
-
I want to see Anderson given a full game at LCM or RCM to prove he can play a part (even if it's from the bench) against Wolves.
-
Willock also left him for dead in the first half. Walker is 32 now, so he won't be as quick as he was 3-4 seasons ago. That shouldn't discredit ASM's performance today at all though. Walker is still a special phyiscal specimen.
-
Another great game. Think he benefitted today from playing against Bernardo Silva who isn't very fast or good at dribbling past players.
-
Must be hung like a stud to score a goal like that today.
-
Team struggling with poor squad mentality -> Let's spend £100m on a player refusing to train with their team to force a move away
-
Doubt he'd be keen on joining us just to warm the bench.

Think it's harsh to call Dubs a liability. He is a very good mid-table keeper, and I don't think people should be taken up for questioning why the club focused on getting a keeper in ahead of attacking players. It's a legitimate question imo woth discussing. That being said, while I've acknowledged that Pope is the better keeper, I did not expect the gap between the two to be this big (provided Pope maintains this level throughout the season). He's justifying the transfer more and more each passing game.
