  1. 21 (or 22 as he'll soon be) is young in life, but not that young for a PL footballer. He hasn't even made our bench which is pretty damning considering how it's looked the last month, and has hardly played first team football at any point in his career so far. It's not too late of course, but if he isn't even in contention by this age he's most likely not going to make it at this level.
  2. Was thinking of before then beginning of the game- when he went down, shaking his head and blinking his eyes and was splashing water in his face. Looked like he was nauseous/dizzy or something. When I saw it I was thinking back to the story he told before the final about how he was struggling to play the way he could when he was young because he was so nervous and though he possibly had an anxiety attack or something. Probably me over thinking it
  3. Teams have caught on to the patterns of runs between him and Trippier. Trippier may get the odd telegraphed cross in from time to time, but both of them have been fairly ineffective for some time now compared to start of the season. Hopefully Targett is fit to play soon. Nobody cares to cover Burn regardless of how good runs he makes so they basically only have to cover whomever is playing left wing and focus more on covering the striker, Almiron & Trippier.

    Loris Karius

Tbf he did get his fingertips to the second. Don't think Pope would have saved either of those. Loris played better than we could have expected.
  5. Any theories or reports of what was up with him today? He looked dizzy and sick, but seemingly hadn't been in a challenge before hand?
  6. It feels awful losing, but still feel immensely proud of this team and our fans.
  7. Man Utd will be sitting back and play for the counter but we need to go all out here. Targett on for Burn, Isak on for Longstaff and play a more traditional 4-4-2.
  8. Ah come on, it's Weghorst ffs don't fall off him so he can make those passes Going to be tough now, but a goal back and Man Utd nerves will emerge.
  9. The newcastle fan shaking his son after that ASM chance
  10. And now Colback got smashed in a challenge in the middle by Soucek. West Ham go on to make it 2-0
  11. Saw this and thought "this I fucking have to see". Turned on the match, and within 5 seconds Bowen glides past Colback like he wasn't even there to set up Ings for a goal
  12. Not intended as virtue signaling. This is only intended show to the unnamed saint who gave TheGuv tickets that their good deed has a much bigger impact.
  13. I dove in the air like a dolphin, brother
  14. Have you not seen his stats on FM 2004?
  15. Added a like to your post to ensure your most popular post ever on here is about Alan fucking Pardew
  16. On struggling to do any business in the transfer market in the summer of 2012: “I think it is quiet – whether we’re all enthralled by what’s happening with the Olympics I don’t know.” On lack of finances in summer of 2013 “In particular, Liverpool and Spurs have spent a lot of money, and other clubs such as Swansea and Southampton have coordinated their financial strength really well. You look at a club like Southampton, and they’re in a much stronger financial position than us in terms of purchasing players” After being comprehensively knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two opposition in 2011: “There’s a few in there that need to understand what this game’s about….a few young boys got caught out tonight by the passion and the physical side of Stevenage.” On the psychological perils of passing the 40-point mark after Newcastle were spanked 4-0 by Southampton last season: “It’s difficult when you have 46 points on the board.” On Newcastle fans being just too darned passionate for their own good: “It’s a city that loves the club so much that it hurts itself, because of that love. If there was perhaps less pressure on our results…it would probably be a better club. After Newcastle put in a dismal shift and drew 1-1 against Rangers in a pre-season friendly: “The grass was a bit long for our liking.” After Newcastle lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 2012: “Today was a little bit unfair on us. We couldn’t move the game to Sunday because of the Notting Hill Carnival.” After losing 3-0 at home to Sunderland in the most recent North East derby: “Maybe we were a bit too hyped up.” “For the last three years I don’t know, it’s science against me” – January 2014. Lack of intelligence in the local area - “Southampton have a huge catchment area and it’s a different type of catchment area. There is a big working-class community down there but there are also a lot of middle-class kids who have good educations. The players who come out of Southampton are quite intelligent” – March 2014.

  18. Except we could have rejected Forests proposal, while Burnley couldn't because of his release clause. Crazy money to be paying for someone who provided so few goals with a significant amount of playing time in a better team. Wonder who made the recommendation and approved the expenditure at Forest.
  19. Take it as a healthy sign then that I was giggling all the way through reading that Top post, only thing that could have improved it was a couple of examples of the lies, gaslighting & excuses. He had some real bangers. First that come to mind was when he was talking about how we needed to "put more intelligence into our players"
  20. We played excellent for a short period March-April when Pardew used the 4-3-3 with Ba-Cisse-HBA up top. Then Wigan trashed us 4-0 and it was never to be seen again. The good results beginning of the season were jammy as fuck with 1 goal wins using a defensive 4-4-2.

    Sven Botman

Still going strong at 37 for Valenciennes in Ligue 2. He's become a CB in his latter years, probably due to how good he is in the air.
