Three awful takes imo. Disagree with all of them. Funny how things change: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3361219/robert-lewandowski-arturo-vidal-thiago-alcantara-bayern-munich-real-madrid/

Media should really just call it a survival fund rather than a war chest

Aye, the look of despair in their faces is brutal to watch. The terror in Eriksons eyes as he was falling to the ground as well. Hope he pulls through. They can't continue the match, and the broadcast needs to end. I'm turning off. My thoughts with Eriksen, his family, friends and team mates.

I seem to recall he was injured when we sold him, and seemingly he never got over it as he kept getting injured over and over again. We probably sold at the absolute best time we could have.
-
It's 1 year since they got rid of Suarez though. What's your point?
-
I'd be surprised if we managed to get him off our books, be it by selling or mutual termination. He's the new Colback. Free signing on wages probably three times higher, if not more, than he could get anywhere else. He'll see out his contract here. Maybe get a loan to some mid table championship club after next season. He'll only be 32 by the time his contract expires so will most likely not have any problems getting another ok 2-3 year deal with a smaller club in a division or two down before hanging up his boots.

Same. Dream scenario for me is they break out and form their own league, get thrown out of all other competitions, super leage fails miserably and eventually gets disbanded. All teams that particiapted has to start at lowest tier in their respective countries. However the super league will take a fair chunk of sponsorship/viewership from Premier League which results in all clubs having to cut wages, broadcasters has to lower their subscription fees to retain viewers which results in even more wage cuts having to be made to keep the top clubs alive. Kind of like a soft reset. I know it's naive. The super league will probably be a huge success because consumers will never act on their collective power to make the world a better place.

Considering the years before where we mainly used Hughes and Griffin, Carr was a massive upgrade to the right back position. He got old quick though and he definitely got one more season that he should have. Was a massive relief when Beye replaced him.

Ah, right. That explains it Ethics put aside, if I was Real/Chelsea/Man Utd etc. and had the money to buy him this summer in order to avoid other potential suitors to join the chase in a year it's a no brainer really. I wouldn't feel certain that he would chose them over f.ex Liverpool or Juventus etc next summmer. I really hope the "bubble" we've been waiting on to burst, bursts soon.

Maybe it's posted in earlier pages so soz if Giggs, but didn't Haaland get a relatively low buy out clause with Dortmund similar to what he had at Salzburg?

1. Replace manager & let him bring in whomever he wants within whatever budget is available for coaching staff & players 2. Wash St. James' Park 3. Improve training facilities 4. Improve youth facilities

Leeds ownership has changed 4 (5?) times since 2003 or 2004 though. Crap owners eventually have to sell. That's better imo than potentially 14+ more years of Ashley. Bring on the chancers!
-
Yup. Possibly a third and fourth too.
-
I couldn't care less whether Bruce stays or leaves as long as Ashley owns the club. I don't see a takeover happening until it costs Ashley his own money to keep it running, and that won't be possible as long as the club is in the PL.
-
Agree. Leeds should go all in to get him if we're relegated. Also think Wolves would suit him well if they use him similarly to how Rafa used him.

You forgot the "it's the only way I am able to bond with my father/grandfather".

Deserves to lose the 3 pts when subbing Bowen for Noble in 2021.

Bored rigid of reading this kind of shit now. There is plenty hatred to go around all the cunts. Bruce shouldn’t escape because of Ashley. Thing is it's not even remotely proportional to who's most to blame for how the club currently is. Reading Bruce hate is not only boring but repetitive and at times even disgusting. On top of that it is also completely pointless.

Not only me then hear hear

Is it only me that is indifferent to Steve Bruce, and couldn't care less who the manager is, and genuinely hope he stays as that is the most likely path to destruction? I really struggle to understand how people can go through the same emotions time after time with every manager bar Keegan and Benitez in the last 14 years when nearly everyone clearly knows where the problem lies. It doesn't matter if Bruce stays or goes. Another Bruce/Pardew/Carver/McClaren/Kinnear will step up, rinse and repeat. How many more failed "takeovers", relegations and washed up managers does it have to take for the majority of fans to turn on Ashley in the only way a change will happen, meaning a scenario where the club is costing him more than he makes off it. The club is big enough to rise from the ashes to compete in the PL again even with a skint owner as long as its run good. Yeah, there might be chancers along the way that will make things worse in the short term than Ashley if he ends up selling at a loss, but thing with these chancers are that they have to sell again if their speculative chance doesn't pay off as they don't have the money to keep a sinking ship afloat, and will most likely also sell if they manage to change things around to sell at a profit.
-
Absolutely no scenario at all. Can't say I disagree. He's made it very clear in recent interviews that he won't leave, and that whether he stays or goes is not up to him.

If only Fulham had managed to win yesterday.

Nah, he came, did some pirouettes, clobbered Joe Cole, earned a few quid and left, he was happy with that. fyp
