He will be infinitely more effective against teams that don't play with such high intensity both in pressing and moving the ball around like your Burnleys and West Hams. He will do better against Southampton if he starts, but I'd prefer to see Bruno start ahead of him.

If he stays with us for a few years and actually wins something I wouldn't just say he's "up there" If he does well, stays with us and wins us trophies he will surpass Keegan for me. There's nothing to suggest Keegan has/had more "class" than Howe for what I've seen so far.

Bad for WBA fans in the long run, good for our entertainment that he got a win to stay in the job longer.

Based on current performances I wouldn't mind him and Burn as our starting CB pair next season. Easily top half quality. They compliment each other so well.

I had the impression that he was considered a bit of a liability in a CB pair, being utilised mostly on the left side of a 3 man defence or at LB. Did Brighton/Potter even know how good he is? He's the definition of consistent solid performer so far.

I'm getting Swansea vibes off them. We're dismantling Brighton Rafa style the way we did them a few seasons back.

Brighton controls practically every match they play, which makes us not look so good in general play, but this seems to be the recipe to beat them. Solid organisation in the back, quick, effective counter attacks due to their high pressing. Well played by Howe imo.

I suspect it's a precaution as there's doubt both Manq & ASM are ready to play a full match

With ASM and Manquillo back from injury on the bench together with Bruno, I hope Howe uses his substitutions more liberally than he has the last few games.

Good team, and good to have options in ASM & Bruno to change the game if needed.
