Agree. Take out Bowen and Rice and they are closer to where we are now than a CL spot. That being said I think Moyes had an awful game plan today, especially when news came out that ASM was injured. It was criminal the amount of time they let us have on the ball in our own half. I'd be livid if the roles were reversed.
-
I fucking hope that is true. Love it.
-
Not much to say really. Scrappy half, lots of mis placed passes and grafting. No team looked like scoring.
-
Excellent result, well executed match & good work rate.
-
Surprised Joelinton is staying on ahead of Willock. He looks completely empty.
-
The stat is very flattering imo. West Ham has been happy to let us keep the ball in our own half, and we've been happy to keep the ball there. Kind of weird as you'd think West Ham should be desperate for a win.
-
Attack for our goal started by Krafth for all the miserable haters. He's not good enough, which is obviously why he's third choice now, but when called upon he is better at RB than playing someone else out of position or revamping a formation the rest of the team is comfortable with.
-
Sure dude
-
Norwich, Watford, Brighton, Wolves and Villa doesn't even have a third choice RB for starters. Burnley: Phil Bardsley Palace: Martin Kelly
-
He's far from the worst 3rd choice RB in the premier league.
-
Damn...things were going so well. Was an unneccessary foul to give.
-
It's intentional on our part it seems. We're happy to keep possession in our half if West Ham dont want the ball. They need a win more than us, happy with a draw.
-
West Ham playing as if they were away. No pressing in our half. Should just play cynical and keep the ball in our half to frustrate West Ham and their fans.
-
Yeah we were desperate to improve center mid, but in the same time our current ones have improved without Bruno thanks to Howe. Just doesn't make sense to bin any of them when they have contributed to 3 straight wins.
-
Didn't he play mostly on the left for Bournemouth? That would make sense to me if so.
-
The Bruno desperation is getting a bit sad on here. No matter who gets injured, the only solution to avoid armageddon is Bruno to some. I doubt Howe will make late changes to the tactic & game plan, most likely it'll be straight swap for Murphy or Almiron. Tea lady home with the sniffles? Gotta play Bruno.

The Newcastle part seems to be starting at around the 32:30 mark. Starts positively at least by saying "somehow Pardew managed to get the Newcastle job".
-
Young, talented, quick and injury prone? Sounds like a 1999-2005 Newcastle signing.
-
Is my memory right in that the last season or two in the PL under Short they were struggling to fill the stadium and ended up giving away loads of tickets, to the point where people cancelled their season ticket because they could get free tickets instead?
-
That was his last match, and he was stand-in striker that match. Newcastle United Football Club - Match reports -Coventry City (a) (nufc.com)

I can't remember Keegan ever playing Milner centrally. He was always stuck out left where he looked very ordinary. At the time I didn't mind he was sold.
-
Would prefer we tried to get Brennan Johnson rather than Eze.
-
In the context of being second and third choice RB, Manquillo and Krafth are pretty good players. If you look at typical teams we want to compete with and overtake next season: West Ham: Ryan Fredericks, Ben Johnson Villa: Young? Chambers? Everton: Kenny, Patterson? Would anyone prefer their options to ours?
-
It's about 12.5 years if you saw them in their first CL matches, so you don't even need to exaggerate to make your point tbf Haven't seen a CL match from start to finish since Barcelona - Man Utd in 2009. As @Yorkiesays it's a boring competition with the same teams every season.

Atletico lost at home against Levante. Levantes second win of the season. Is their Trippier effect wearing off?
