  1. He played really well against Everton before he got ill, so I've got confidence he can do a job under Howe and improve his performances same as so many other players have
  2. Didn't put a foot wrong when he came on, so no, not really.
  3. It's football so anything can happen of course, but had it been earlier this season I'd just shrug my shoulders, maybe even laughed a little over how typical it was if Brentford had equalised and moved on. Had they done so today I'd be angry and upset.
  4. First time this season where we don't have more games played than points?
  5. Joelinton, Fraser, Willock and Targett particular stand outs, but whole team played really well.
  6. Hoy Bruno on now in an effort to get control of the play again Eddie please
  7. Give Bruno majority of the second half please Eddie.
  8. Under previous cabbagement we wouldn't have had any clue what to do with the ball and end up playing for a 0-0.
  9. For a team with "no goals in it" we sure do seem to find the net in many of our matches. Just smiling for ear to ear while watching this.
  10. Dissapointed not to see ASM on the bench, but we've got enough quality to win this.
  11. Great play by Winks, Sess & Doherty for their goal.
  12. No doubt about that. He was one of the key figures to our success under SBR and was a great player, but he was quite inconsistent.
  13. Been waiting for this match since the final whistle against West Ham. Games can't come quick enough for me these days.
  14. Loved Robert, but he had some absolutely infuriating games as well where he simply could not hit a single corner kick past the first man, took a shot at goal every time he was within 30m of goal to the visible disgust of his team mates, misplaced easy passes and hardly broke a sweat. His lows were as low as his highs were high, and I think a lot of the reputation he got outside of NUFC was formed by his quite frequent shockers.
  15. Luckily Howe doesn't rely on match winners unlike your Pardew's and Bruce's, but on the team being well drilled and prepared for their next opponent. It's not only about having played with the team before, but being aware of and having worked on tactical adjustments and instructions specific to Brentford.
  16. Seems a very Bruce-esque approach to me, but ok.
  17. I'm a bit unclear on when he travelled to France, but if he hasn't been part of the team preparations for Brentford he has no place in the starting line-up.
  18. Wouldn't want ASM starting even if fit if he hasn't been able to prepare for the game together with the rest of the team. He would be a great option to have on the bench though against tired Brentford legs.
  19. Seems like Levy is hitting the panic button with every manager appointment & every transfer window in order to please Kane & Son. Maybe better for them in the long term to sell both, and try to rebuild their squad under an up and coming manager under lower expectations rather than trying to patch something that seems inherently broken? Not really paid much attention to Spurs the last few years so that is just based on a very high level viewing from the outside looking in.
  20. From that final 3 years ago, only Kane, Son & Lloris played today.
  21. Should be the first player out the door in the current squad. It's not even remotely a contest. Maybe he can join up with Mike Williamson to get some lessons in how he can improve his technique.
  22. You can take the boy out of Newcastle, but you can't take the Newcastle out of the boy.
