Can't wait to step be carried out of my flying car and get wheeled to my seat. fyp

Maybe that's what he's turned into now, but in the championship and first half of the subsequent premier league season for us he showed he could score all kind of goals, including those "easy" goals where his anticipation and runs is what made the goals easy to score.

It's the rational thing to think, yet here we are, over 11 years since "that" summer transfer window when Keegan left.

Why in gods name would Stam have any reason or incentive to make up a lie like that? On the other hand, it is in Ashleys best interest to deny it.

Had Lundstram on the bench for Sokratis :S

Guendouzi is probably my favorite player to watch in the premier league so far this year. I might have missed it, but every time I've watched him at least he's never made a mistake. He's always moving and open to receive the ball, always playing the ball forward, got a deceptive turn of pace, excellent passing, dribling and shooting technique.

Good point, didn't think about that. Then he's most likely gone

I'm not so sure. Can see a lot of the top teams opting for a younger player. Alderweireld is only 30, Verthongen 32. If they replace one of them with Schar who turns 28 this year it'll only be stop gap replacement. For the money we'd need to part company with Schar I can't see how that can be justified. Can see the bigger teams either not consider him good enough, or wanting someone younger. Could see maybe Wolves targeting him since they play a similar system to the one Schar has excelled at here under Benitez, maybe Leicester too. None of the "top 6" though.

Luckily the entire world did crap this game week, so a low score isn't that big of a deal.

For me he has exceeded expectations just by staying fit since he came back from injury.

Wasn't there a goal that was overruled by VAR yesterday in exactly the same fashion?

Is there really no other player available in centre mid than Fred?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Most likely yes. Two games to go, 5 points clear of 3rd with Lichtenstein next. Win that and they are guaranteed to go through no matter how they do against Greece in the last game. Looking forward to see how they do. Fully deserved and happy for the Finns on here

It's so weird to see Norwegian players that likes to have the ball

Saw that the other day. It's crazy how unstructured/unregulated the whole business is considering how much money is on the line.

Don't blame Merino for moving on when he wasn't given any game time. Easily the best midfielder in our team at the time, and thought he could become our midfield general for a year or two at least before Ashley would sell him on for a profit.

A lot of people has sent e-mails due to not being able to register throught the site. Did so a few months back myself.

Who's the first to say "heart always skips a beat when I see this thread bumped" this time?

Ehm, are you talking about Millwall or Sunderland?

How do you choose between Keane, Gomez, Mings, Tarkowski, Lascelles, Maguire, Stones, Dunk, Coady and the likes if not based on form? They are all solid without being spectacular, and it's a bit silly to persist with one over the other if the one left out is performing better than the one that is in. Until one pair within the pool of center backs makes a step up, or form a particularly good partnership it's difficult to argue that some should be left out. It was easier before when it was pretty clear that the best center back pair was Campbell - Ferdinand and later Terry - Ferdinand.

He's quit/deleted twitter for the 4th time or so now during his tenure?

Too early to tell. Haaland is not in the squad today due to injury btw. He has the physical attributes to become great. He's tall, strong and fast. So far with Molde and RB Salzburg he does seem to have good positioning, movement and good finishing qualities, but I think it's his physical qualities that will enable him to make it in tougher leagues. He's going to be very exciting to follow the next few years, and see where he ends up.
