He has been dreadful. He just jogs back and forth around the mid circle and passes the ball 5 yards to the side immediately upon receiving it to a player just as poorly positioned to make something happen as himself. If it's on instruction from Klopp it's horrible tactics, if it's on his own accord he's just playing dreadful.

Wor Luke blasting it, by his standards, in the back of the net for Sevilla. Had forgot he exsisted.

Hindsight is a great thing. Luque was a well known talent at the time, and was a fantastic signing. I'd have him over Boa Morte 10/10 times before we signed him. I thought the price and wages we paid was a steal despite the stories afterwards of Shepherds negotiation skills. I'm still confident he'd be one of our best players in recent history had it not been for his early injury.

What about 4 points adrift after 24 games? If that's how the league table was then it wouldn't take much to run the data but I'm not going to run scenarios that don't (currently) exist. The data as of today is pretty conclusive though (I'm a spreadsheet geek because of my job). No worries, wasn't meant as a serious request I do think there's a good chance we're only 4 points ahead come wednesday though, and if it's one team that strives to break every negative record in book then it's us.

Harrison Reed looking like what we wish Matty was.

Is that the ex-sunderland Maja?

He didn't strike me as a very good footballer necessarily. However, unlike Hendrick, Shelvey and the Longstaffs he doesn't end up chasing shadows for 90 minutes and is able to impact the game at both ends of the pitch by simply being in the right positions at the right time.

I'd still have him over Colback.
-
Saw the same in first half when Manquillo was getting treatment. Almiron and ASM were by the dugout getting instructions from Jones. Bruce bumbling around in the background doing nothing.

Never noticed before that Ødegård is a pointer. I hate pointers.

CL is boring. Haven't watched a game in 3-4 years I think. They continue to water it down and I don't understand how it is so popular. Late 90's were peak CL for me.

Give Moyes a lanky central midfielder and he'll have your team competing for a CL spot. Amazing what he's managed at West Ham, saving them from relegation twice and really kicking on this season.
-
He's fucking seething there. He's not even trying to hide it, he's like a spoilt kid haha Wouldn't put it past him to deliberately fuck up next game just so he can point at Jones This man is hurt in the feels real bad.

Who else should do it I would ask back. Physically at least he should be able to follow and out muscle Wilson in duels.
-
After having watched the highlights, Richarlison is due a roasting after the work he did covering Wilson on corners

Cheers. A bit of both sounds like the most plausible explenation for this weird anomaly

Didn't watch as I fully expected another shit show. So, were they actually decent, or did they look good because Everton come into this match expecting a walkover?
-
I bet you'll find those very same words at least 100 times in the Pardew thread Bruce came into a professional team with good work ethic. Gave them more time off from the training facilities which some of the lads liked. Now it's turning on him.

Has there been any match since Bruce came in where we were "likely to win" before it was played? Somehow though they drag an unexpected win out of their ass from time to time without anyone being able to explain how beyond pointing at individual player performances. After Rafa left, except when the takover talks were going on beginning of last year, I've been and am now in the hope-everything-goes-to-shit-camp, in the vague hope that it triggers an ownership change one way or another if keeping the club afloat financially harms Ashley himself directly. We know we won't get adequate players in, we know Bruce is incompetent, we know he won't get sacked until it is too late and even if we get a few jammy results that secures PL status, next season will be exactly the same as this and last season.

Will be nice to see a good Norwegian player in England again who doesn't play for Man Utd or Liverpool. Hope he does well, despite the team struggling for results.

Not taking anything away from Darlows performance, but Dubs is better and should be starting when fit.
-
I haven't seen very much of him, but from memory Billing seems like a budget Hayden.

Playing in a settled system and with better coaching who knows, but right now he just seems like a liability.
