  1. I wasn't old enough to really appreciate the quality of players properly at the time Ginola was playing, but I never really understood why he's held is such high regard as he is. He wasn't particularly fast, wasn't particularly efficient (not many assists or goals - 6 goals and 1 assist in 67 games) or hard working. I've watched a few matches that has been out on youtube to get a feel of his general play, and while he was good, I'd personally put him behind both HBA and Robert. Won't be long until I put ASM ahead of him either if he continues as he has second half of this season.
  2. Agree. Any decent manager would. At this point I'd sub Almiron as well. Every other player is more or less replaceable in this team. Very important to keep those two as fresh as possible for remainder of the season.
  3. 2-0 up against 10 men, 5 substitutions available and we've used none of them 75 minutes into the match with a ton of games coming up.
  4. You say it like it's uncommon for him to blow big chances. Miggys finishing is poor for an attacking midfielder.
  5. Norwegian commentator joking that it wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity because it was Joelinton who was through.
  6. Agree he's looked pretty average, but he's a central defensive midfielder being played out of position in this team.
  7. Would like to see Muto, Lazaro and Schar on for Joelinton, Ritchie and Lascelles.
  8. I don't even understand what he did. First time it looked like he kicked the ground in front of the ball, but didn't look like it in the replay. No idea how he managed to hit the ball that way and fall over in the same motion.
  9. Fraser has been nowhere near as good as he was last season. They won't miss him that much, he's scored 1 goal. Isn't it the case of them not playing him much this season because he wouldn't sign a new contract? Havent checked the stats so could be off on that one.
  10. De Bruyne FPL captain this gw
  11. Same. Don’t get it at all. I don't really see that he is getting a lot of hype except for after the 16 goals season which I guess was warranted. He is a good player though, however for Man Utd he'd only be an older, worse version of Rashford. Wouldn't bring anything to the team they don't already have.
  12. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/22/manchester-united-sues-football-manager-makers-over-use-of-name I'm always amazed that there's no someone in the room shouting 'this is going to make us look like massive twats'. They gotta create work for themselves in order to prove they are adding value to the company. Straight out of the UK contractors 101 book.
  13. Make it up with Jonas and KK should be the first step It's not their responsibility to right Ashleys wrongs. All focus should be on the present in order to move the club forward.

Always be sceptical about people named Kai
  15. So the players are training as little as 3 days a week if they win a match?

    Die Bundesliga

I've watched football in practically empty grounds, big and small. From the Northern League to the Korean third tier. The difference is that there is still some people there who are engaged, and being at the side of the pitch or in a ground is a totally different experience to watching on TV. Personally I find watching a Bundesliga derby, where there should be 80,000 people there, instead being completely empty and silent, just depressing. And it absolutely will change the intensity and context of a game. Perhaps to favour the technical teams - little surprise this was Dortmund's biggest win in about 50 years. The idea that I don't like football because I can't enjoy such an inhibited version of the real thing is nonsense. I could equally apply the same to you for being able to do so. But I didn't do that, it's each to their own. Dortmund won 4-0 only two months ago, wtf are you on about? Try hoying this on in the background this weekend and see if it helps There's a third option you forgot to include by the way, which is that you can enjoy watching football both with and without crowd.

    Transfer rumours

I'd be happy, but for the price he would command I'd rather we tried to sign someone that are better at creating things against established defences. Both Almiron and ASM can to a degree do what Zaha does.
  18. Franco, etc. Real won 6 champions league titles between 56 and 66. They scored 2 penalties in those 6 finals. One of those penalties (i assume this is the penalty in the video) came when Real were already leading 3-1 against Frankfurt in 1960. Twitter dude is just making up his own reality, like twitter people do. Awful call by the ref mind

We'd be like Man Utd light with that front line. Good against the best teams by playing on the counter, average/poor against similar/poorer opposition as they'd play a deeper defensive line against us. None of those players have the quality to break down defensive teams on a consistent basis.

If you cant watch football without fans in the stands then you probably dont like football.

    Transfer rumours

Will be interesting to see how it pans out, as I'm sure the same will apply for buying clubs ability to offer competitive wages. Will players want to move on in the same frequency as before if they know they will most likely get a worse deal than they are currently on?
