  1. Mbemba is 21 and can defend mate. Mbemba himself thinks he's 26. But aye - he's 21 fella. The f*** are you on about? http://edition.cnn.com/2013/02/01/sport/football/age-african-football-mbemba/ Mbemba thinks he's born in 90. Seriously, that stuff. That was three years ago, and was cleared up when he first signed if I recall correctly, if the club say he was born in 94, then i'd imagine he was born in 94 Nobody involved knows for a fact. If Mbemba thinks he's 26 I'm going to believe him rather than agents or clubs with something to gain by keeping his age lower. Why are people reacting on this? I don't really care about his age, but if Mbemba really do mean that he is 26 then that holds more weight for me as well as all the other sources has something to gain by stating that he is younger than he really is.
  2. There's never the balanced view here on N-O. If his touch is not good, it has to be shit!!!!1111! His first touch is not shit. Get out of here.

    What's with the title change..?
  4. Yes. I think, given enough time on the pitch, Gayle, Mitrovic and Perez are capable of scoring 20+ goals this season. I have no worries in the striker department. Im actually a bit worried that the quality of competitiion is so good that we might halter the development of Mitrovic who I still believe could be a great player for us in the PL.
  5. Could be 40% of profit which is £4,2m if all figures reported are correct.
  6. I said if. Im pretty sure he feels quite confident we will win the league with our current players.
  7. Rafa wont take any chances so he will sign a few more, and rightly so imo. I'd wait until next season when we can attract a better calibre of players with spending the money. If Rafa can't be sure to get promoted with the current squad, even minus Sissoko, then that speaks volumes of what he thinks of himself as a coach imo.
  8. 6' 1.5" (1,86 meter) is quite high though. Not like hes a midget or anything. Probably well above any average team height he will face this season. Lascelles is 6' 2" apparently, a whooping 2cm higher, and nobody is questioning his height
  9. It really is. I swear there was a fans forum* where they basically laid out the plan of having as paper thin of a senior squad as possible and rely on reserves/youth expected to fill the gaps, but I can't for the life of me find it. * - it may have been communicated elsewhere but that's where I remember it from. You mean the "purples" and "browns" and so on?
  10. Good. Needed another one in around the level of Mbemba and Lascelles for competitiion and maybe most of all safeguarding against injuries. Lascelles had a quite bad injury record at Nottingham, so no guarantees that he will be available throughout the whole season.
  11. In my mind we are not selling what we had, we are selling what we could have had next season. I am almost certain he will shine in a better team for a better manager (meaning Klopp vs McClaren), being more used to the english game, and prove that his price tag was justified. Realistically we were never going to keep him here after relegation anyway, and in the end it's probably for the best. We get a decent amount which can be saved for improving the squad when we are back in the premiership.
  12. Wouldn't be surprised if he dragged it out himself for that very reason. He loves when clubs do worse after he leaves so he can gloat about it in the media.
  13. It sort of puts it a bit into perspective as well why a lot of players chase the quick money, changing clubs etc. Short career, and could end even faster.
  14. So he shot himself in the hamstring with a bow and arrow?
  15. That's a saber you fucking moron. Cutlass tbh. Cutlass is shorter and only has slight curve at the end.
  16. That's a saber you fucking moron.
  17. This is bollocks. Even statistically, he was our most creative player last season in terms of chances created. I'm very comfortable assessing his stats against other players in his position in shite-mid table teams last season to make the comparison. He's basically, the complete opposite of Nobby Solano, in that he's huge, strong and garbage with his final ball. Solano was a proper midfielder imho. He played the game with his head first, everything else followed. This big dopy cunt just barges through people and fucks up his final ball/pass/shot/cross. Last Season, Sissoko (1 goal and 7 assists) across an entire season. 1 goal and 7 assists is 18% of the goals we scored last season. Not too shabby contribution if you ask me.

    David Squires

I can't really see how he can top the Hodgson slide.
  19. If I were Villa i´d do anything in my power to get rid of Lescott and Richards. Their arrogance last season was quite something, and to believe it will be any better this season when they probably think they are way to good for this league could potentially make things even worse.
  20. A city with "character" is just a nice way to say it's a shithole tbh, only that you like it. No shaming in liking shitholes though.

    Andros Townsend

No surprise he went first. Our best player, english and has a low release clause. We already have a more than adequate replacement in. No worries.

    Andros Townsend

As Beren says, applied himself while he was here. No hard feelings personally. He will probably regret it when he realises how big change it is going from Benitez to Pardew, but that is his problem, not ours. He played well for us, but he is very replaceable if we get straight back up.
