  1. Nooooooooooooooooooooo, don't suspend. Bigger chance of more people cancelling.
  2. Yeah, Aaron Hughes is a great shout. Unfortunately he was needed at RB for the most part while playing for us instead of playing in his favored CB position. He did pretty well for Fulham there after he left us.
  3. Nah, he wasn't underrated. He simply didn't perform very well for us imo. He was Ok defensively, with a tendency to back off too much instead of going for a tackle or show the attacker onto his weaker foot. He was extremely limited offensively. Whether it was down to him personally or by instruction from the manager is difficult to say, but too much hoofing of the ball aimlessly up the field. At the time (still does I think) it made perfect sense to upgrade him with Debuchy.
  4. He's enabling it. Don't know why some people can ignore that. If he's sacked, do you expect anyone better coming in? If yes, do you really want someone better to come in and save Ashleys ass like Rafa did, just so Ashley can bin him off once he starts to except commitments from Ashley in order to stay, something we know will never ever happen? Woulnd't it be better to just keep Bruce, hope he inflicts as much damage upon the club as it seems he is able to, in order to turn as many fans as possible away and force a sale?
  5. Make a super league with all the other shitty top teams and piss off
  6. Burnley and Southampton has "gifted" us another season in the PL with these two last matches. Shocking performances from them both.
  7. Hope they both rejected any kind of relegation wage decrease clause and bleeds the club dry when we're relegated.
  8. Championship players putting in a decent performance against a championship side? Well I never!

Maybe he thinks he's developed a footballing brain due to however many years of experience he has owning football club now?

Shola Ameobi flying up and down the wing with a demolished hip was a sight to behold as well.
  12. Bournemouth and West Ham catching up as things stand. A late scrappy goal to Burnley would do nicely.

shots from where? is he getting 2 or 3 good chances per game? is he fuck i agree 1 goal is poor overall of course, but the lad is young and new to the league, he looks utterly shot already It's like people expect Ba or Cisse in the 5th season levels of efficiency in front of goal. It is simply unheard of. Look at goals/attempts at any top striker in the world. They all miss a lot of chances every game. Old article from 2018 but point still stands: https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/comparing-the-conversion-rate-of-the-top-10-scorers-in-europe/
  14. Brighton win and a loss to us tomorrow would do nicely
  15. I'm in this boat. Fully expecting the team to get a win against all odds, despite of Bruce, to secure PL status and plaudits from match going consumers and pundits.
  16. Why? He is exactly what the match going fans deserves, and exactly what we need to turn the club into something that doesn't finance itself while providing global exposure for SD. I hope Bruce stays as long as possible.
  17. He's such a likeable character. Wish he has good consultation that recommends what is best for his development in the long term and don't sign anything this club puts forward to him.
  18. Almost every goal is conceeded due to a mistake by somebody. It's only natural that some of those mistakes will be made by the keeper. It is inevitable, and every goal keeper in the world make them.
  19. Robert would be very hit and miss. He really frustrated the team on off days where he thought being anywhere over the half way line on the opposition half was a goal scoring opportunity while having 100% hit rate on the closest defenders head on corners. For consistency and precision Robben, Van Persie, Ben Arfa, David and Bernardo Silva, Ozil and Giggs were/are all better. Maybe it's because I watched him more than I've watched any of the others that my judgement is a bit harsh, but unless the criteria is who had hardest left footed shot I wouldnt have him in my top 5.
  20. It's imperative for our relegation chances that we lose this. It looks likely since they are in good form while we are not. In other words we will scrape a 1-0 victory we have no right to win and essentially guarantee that we stay up.
  21. That's for the club and player to negotiate tbh. Reckon many will after this.
