  1. Depends if you think Ranieri is a great manager. Letting Sir Bob go wan't the problem, getting the right replacement was. The timing and manner of letting Bob go was the problem, and after that getting in the wrong replacement was a new problem.
  2. On one hand, unless proven otherwise, I hate the fact that Rafa possibly has been screwed over on any potential transfers they have lined up. Would still like more information than a vague sentence in a post match interview after a disappointing draw. On the other, if he really is a manager worth keeping he should promote us easily with this squad. Personally I think any transfer funds available should be saved up to boost the squad next season in the PL, and that´s what I would be telling my manager if I was an owner in this situation, but ultimately let the decision be up to the manager.
  3. Remember I wanted McCarthy to join us around the time he went to Everton. Definite yes for me.
  4. Pretty much what Ronaldo said. I think £9m was a steal for a player of that calibre and really good piece of business despite the stories about Shepherds "negotiation skills" floating around. Loved his performance in his debut against Man Utd. Injury completely messed him up beyond repair.
  5. Then take Alsoran out of the team, not Ritchie. Ideally we'd have two wingers that we could bring in for both of them as they've both been poor, but we haven't because Aarons is made out of Lego. Maybe Lazaar is worth a shot on the left wing? I don´t have any expectations for Gouffran so all good he does is just a bonus. His contract is up soon and we will be rid of him. Ritchie however was brought in as a marquee signing thus my expectation is higher for him. He should be the star performer together with Gayle and Shelvey in this side which he hasn't been in any of the matches I´ve seen at least. He is too slow and lacks skill to take on players, so any attack through him is only successful if anyone makes a run so he can pass into space. Most often though the attack stops up with him turning back and passing sideways/backwards just like Duff did in his heyday for us.
  6. Did Sheffield have some kind of special backing back then? A great team, on paper at least.
  7. He's doing the annoying Duff-turn and back pass all the time. Disappointed with what I've seen of him this season. Need to start Atsu instead and get in something better for next season.
  8. Gouffran has had a better season than Ritchie. It should be Astu instead of Ritchie in my eyes.
  9. My thoughts as well Do they have any players worth mentioning at all?

    Andros Townsend

Ritchie is barely holding down a fairly regular place on the wing in the championship, competing against Gouffran and Atsu... Townsend would be a massive improvement on what we have, and would be ready made for next season back in the top division.

  12. I maintain we should not buy anyone unless Rafa is able to get someone in that is intended to be starting in the PL.
  13. Where's Conjo? He was insisting in this thread that the the red cards were both perfectly justified. Im here. Thought so at the time when watching it live and the initial replay, but I obviously do not know the rules as well as I thought I did regarding the Dummett incident. Im relieved that they have shown discretion (not sure if properly translated) when evaluating the Shelvey incident. He did kick out, which I thought was enough to warrant a red card. Happy I was wrong.
  14. I agree Shelvey should've been sent off but there's no way Dummett should've been. It's not a deliberate attempt to foul him, it's not a red card. I can see the argument for why it shouldn´t. At the end of the day it boils down to whether the ref think it was deliberately done or not. I think the fact that Dummett could have easily gone to either side of Lansbury instead swayed his decision. Fuck off man. Fuck off yourself.

  16. Shelvey kicked out, inside the box. No matter how big of a twat Lansbury is, it´s still red and a penalty. Dummett barged down Lansbury from behind in a clear goal scoring opportunity. I get the siege mentality and all that, but I bet you most people supporting other football clubs will agree with the decisions. Now lets go out there, park the bus and get those 3 points. Would taste so fucking good!
  17. Both penalties and red cards were correctly given imo. Dum dum and Shelvey are thick as pig shit unfortunately. WUM. What could dummett do there?? Run to the side of him...?
