  1. Elanga man ffs Suppose if the rat prick ends up at the WC, his chances of breaking down again are greater.
  2. PL set to announce that our ticket sales are now an associated party transaction and will not count as club income...
  3. I think the PL would prefer to keep the two-tier league - with the marketable, breakaway clubs remaining at the top and keeping global e-fans happy, and the chasing pack allowed to only occasionally spoil the party. Like you say, at least 10 of the PL clubs are also happy with this status quo.
  4. Only a short term fix but whatever. Worrying we can make such a large loss when we haven't been extravagant.
  5. Don't think that has been mentioned here? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clyxe2znkp4o Not sure where I sit on this generally. But if it improved the chances of the twats getting pummelled, all for it this time.
  6. Line up first game next season... Wissa Barnes Joe Miley (New PL proven midfielder) Elenga Targett Burn Thiaw Tripper Ramsdale Bring it on
  7. Feels to me like we've gone from an ambition to be the best of the best to just being best of the rest i.e. edge ahead of Villa more regularly, hope a breakaway club has a poor season and maybe snatch a CL once in a while. Which is still pretty decent by historic standards mind. But it's likely not the ceiling Gordon/Tonali/Livramento want to play to and possibly even Bruno and Hall. We'll have to accept a turnover of players who show real quality.
  8. In terms of financial might, leaving us for one of Arse/City/Man U/Pool/Chelsea is the equivalent of us snatching a Wolves player. Not much you can do in the circumstances.
  9. Nice to be reminded we're still considered a feeder club to the breakaway clubs.
  10. It could be a prohibited subject. They tend only to allow positive discussion on their forums. If there's some particularly bad or controversial Liverpool news, they're know to lock down the entire forum. They're a right bunch of freaks
  11. Not often I think 'cmon Everton you c*nts', but definitely behind them on this one... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/mar/25/everton-exploring-legal-options-over-lack-sporting-sanctions-against-chelsea
  12. So according to that, we essentially have to sacrifice a star player due to our disastrous transfer window last summer? Cos that alone was over £100m down the swanny. Wouldn't be such a disaster if our income wasn't £100m+ short of the breakaway clubs. Feels like the consequences of the rules that essentially prohibit competition are really coming to the fore now. Our fans are going to have to slowly accept we're likely to settle as 6-8th placed club, and occasionally over-performing.
  13. Yeah, I'd just want shot of them as owners if 7-8th best is what they're settling for. We've get all the reputational downside of being associated with a nasty regime, but no additional upside from their vast wealth.
  14. If we're settling around the 7-9th zone that's more in keeping with our budget, it's hard to argue that Bruno deserves better in both footballing and salary terms. And it's hard not to argue that Man U are looking a much better prospect than us right now.
  15. Fuck me, those coefficient payments piss me off no end every time a read about it. The cartel clubs have stitched up other clubs who want to complete good and proper. We haven't a hope - they've well and truly shut the door on us, Villa, Everton and Forest.
  16. Dropping 1 or 2 places from where our wage bill suggests we should be would be finishing 9-10th. 4th, 7th and 5th has been us over-performing under Howe so far. There's still a chance we'll have a par finish of 8th this season. Hopefully we get shot of Wissa, and maybe even Elanga and Woltemade during the summer do a less panic driven transfer window, and have an opportunity to over perform next season with a 4-6th placed finish. But fans who think we should be top 4-6 every season are deluding themselves.
  17. Get in there. Arse can take the quad talk and shove it up their arse.

    Joe Willock

Was in a pub for this game, was screaming at the TV when there was terribly misplaced a pass that essentially set them up for the winner. Gather that was Willock?
  19. For the Howe outers, who would you like to bring in? Doubt we have the pull for a top tier manager - we have pretty average infrastructure and our budget is top 7-8, neither of which will change any time soon, if at all.
  20. This is what pisses me off the most, and my biggest criticism of Howe. We've blew £170m on players who brought pretty much nothing to the squad, and two of which are arguably worse than who they were supposed to replace i.e. Elanga for Murphy, Wissa for Wilson. Woltemade doesn't suite the PL whatsover either. It's tragically bad.
  21. Well done the the absolute whoppers who've give us these headlines https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html
  22. As depressing as it is, I couldn't begrudge him the move. His family are probably settled in England, and if Man U are the only big domestic club that comes in, he's 29 and this is his last opportunity. It's only a matter of time before they get their shit together, whereas we have reached our ceiling.
  23. Likewise. Unless our owners get their arses in gear on the stadium, training ground, and sponsorships, we're pretty much in the CL for only the novelty and some bonus cash. We're trying to compete against a cluster of clubs with salary bills over twice ours. The league format is fucking trash as well, and never felt anything was really at stake other than more money. The Europa League on the other hand is something we can genuinely compete for and win multiple times. It may cost us some purples who believe they're better than the EL though.
  24. Is this not a bad result in terms of keeping the bin dippers out of top 5?
