Seems an odd move to fuck over the day to day employees of the club. Even from a PR perspective seems such an own goal.

I get that they felt they needed to act but I found it a bit risky to bring Amorim in at the start of this run. A coach with a very specific approach given a Frankenstein squad and a game every 3/4 days. Like Potter at Chelsea it’s just becomes a reaction of going from game to game and makes it difficult to implement your style, esp if the losses start to stack up. He’ll get time as he should but a rocky start can be hard to shake especially when he came in with such hype.

Feels like a bit of medieval court politics. If King Jim hires 5 different guys in various DOF roles he’ll always find one to agree with him and another to scapegoat. And he can dress the decision he was going to make anyway as being carefully considered.
