Dogawful Officiating: PL to keep VAR next season (official)
GeordieDazzler replied to a topic in Football
13-16 kids football is absolutely mental for abusing refs. It’s the parents more than the kids. I remember back in my playing days a parent trying to square up a ref and then when we (I was 15 at the time) tried to get in the way they tried to square up to us. Was beyond embarrassing. -
Newcastle should be rightly punished for the rules they haven’t broken.

Hahaha went to cancel after reading Ziaus’ post and got that offer too!

Sorry is he trying to reframe City and Chelsea as the good guys here?
-
I don’t think he has any intention of playing for Scotland but the bit has served his purpose and got Gareth asked a direct question about his non selection.

https://www.footballsite.co.uk/DYK/DYK29-PointsDeductions.htm Trying to find a similar situation to Everton which seems to be perhaps Birmingham who got 9 points deducted. Will be very interesting to see what City and Chelsea’s punishments are.

As had been said it feels like Everton have been done a solid here. Take the points deduction and get rid of it hanging over them during a season where there is clearly three worse teams than the other 17. They would have been dead and buried last season. Now they can move into their new stadium with a relatively clean slate albeit probably still quite limited means.

Hard to make yourself look more whiny than Liverpool but kudos to Arsenal, they’ve knocked it out the park -

Yep damned if they do and damned if they don’t. I think I read somewhere that actual errors in the VAR process are much reduced this season but the discussion about it gets worse. It feels like the biggest sides lobbied for it as they thought a bad decision might cost them some of that sweet sweet revenue. They are now stood there aghast that it means that decisions might go against them. I’ve been fairly consistent in my position that you scrap the whole thing and ultimate authority resides in the referee and if there are a few mistakes, that’s life get on with it. -

It was a conscious and deliberate attempt to bully officials. Glad he’s been charged but I think they should hand out longer bans in all honesty. -
Yeah didn’t Nketiah do something similar with Ghana?
-
Conspiracy hat on. Seen Arsenal getting linked to some of our main rumoured targets (Neves, Phillips). Are they trying to disrupt us in the market?

Think we broke Wolves with that Neto injury. Even in that game their threat just fell away after he went off. -

Only game I’ve seen was the Celtic one but I thought he looked great in that. Seem a very well coached team Fyernoord.
