If there’s no statement from the FIGC he’ll just say the matter is ongoing and he’s rather not comment on it. If he’s banned he’ll just say that’s a matter for the club to deal with and support their player with but that he will continue to concentrate on the games and the squad he has to work with.

Worth remembering Romano is a Milan fan and probably has an axe to grind. He’s quoting the article rather than anybody relevant. Who the fuck knows what’s gone on.

Or that we’ve known since last week like everyone else and have been proactive in supporting our player. People are determined that there’s some spiders web of who knew what and that his sale was a big conspiracy from Milan. The actual reporting seems to indicate that he’s been dragged into this as he was implicated by Fagioli.

Carsley will be next England manager IMO. The most important thing to the FA is continuity. They’ve got the ex Brighton Academy head in the u19s who will step up to the u21s. You promote from within so the players know the manager and he plays a similar style to the first team, makes up for the lack of time on the training pitch. The England job is anathema to how Eddie operates.

You would assume criminal proceedings and FIGC proceedings are separate and the threshold for one isn’t the same as the other. I imagine the prosecutors will be allowed in to finish their investigation before the FIGC even consider their next steps. Will rumble on for a good while before anything happens.

All we know for certain is that he was interviewed by police and sent home from the Italy training camp. Everything else has just been paper speculation.
