  1. How is Bruno F never injured, don’t think he’s missed an single game since he signed for them. Crazy. They’ve got very lucky in that respect.
  2. Get yourself a VPN and watch it on TNT? Where abouts in Czech are you? There’s quite a few Sportbars in the bigger cities like Prague/Brno etc, usually they are Brewery ran bars with multiple screens. Also finding an Irish bar can be your best bet for the English CL games on the continent although Celtic are on at the same time.
  3. Gala weren’t great but when you have Icardi, Zaha, Mertens etc your always able to be dangerous if the opposition fuck up
  4. Not sure what being said here, judging by the comments it lets me translate they are all talking about how fast he is and one calling Slot a bald meatball Some quotes from a different interview with Slot.
  5. As much as he’s probably been in the right the public spats with players like Sancho, Ronaldo, Maguire are corrosive to the squad buy in. Him and/or the club have showing they are willing to throw a player under the bus if it suits. Fraser was the closest we’ve had here but it was pretty much kept in house and just not talked about. Howe will demand a lot from them and possibly be quite harsh if they are slacking but the players know they aren’t going to get publicly slated by the manager.
  6. I don’t think he’s shit, like Potter I predict he’ll successfully rebuild his reputation somewhere with less pressure and better organisation. The club is a toxic mess and he tried to fix this by bringing in players loyal to him but it just seems to have polarised the squad further, plus players like Antony just aren’t very good. The squad haven’t bought in as a whole - there’s a few videos knocking about showing that Man U are doing the right things tactically the players just don’t have the desire or buy in to execute with the required intensity. In most situations this is the point the manager should go, but it just repeats the cycle and Frankensteins the squad further.
  7. Having a read of Red Cafe and it’s quite split on Ten Haag but they all seem to agree he shouldn’t be allowed any input on transfers.
  8. We’ve seen a few times that players take a time to settle in here and learn the systems, squad etc. Longstaffs form is allowing him to take a backseat a little.
  9. https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2023/sep/27/mauricio-pochettino-mykhailo-mudryk-crossbar-challenge-chelsea
  10. Did yous read about him losing to Poch at cross bar challenge every day
  11. Although it could backfire on them as people will jump on any dodgy call that goes Liverpools way in the next couple of games.
  12. They know that, it’s all just about applying pressure. The legal equivalent of surrounding the referee.
  13. Replaying the match would be a bigger error than anything VAR did. You can’t open the door to this shit man.
  14. Yep. I actually think that refs need to have a bit of immunity (well I think they already do and it’s a good thing). If you start to introduce essentially public punishments of them I don’t see what it achieves. Clubs would push for a televised apology every time, fans abuse will get more personal if they don’t like the explanation. Adapting to how the ref is managing the game is just something you have to do. Just got to get on with it.
  15. https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-newcastle-united-plot-andersen-move-after-bid-submitted/ Anderson linked again, not a great source though
  16. Adverse effect some people will have a little moan on Twitter or down the pub then get on with their day, like they did in the previous 100 years before VAR. I don’t really care about football clubs making or losing money. It will never be enough and the subjective nature of football refereeing means there will always be disagreements. Yesterday someone fucked up, like their statement said it was a mistake.
  17. Not sure fining, banning and making referees apologise in public will work in the way you think it will. Sounds like a surefire way to lose referees from an already small pool. They’re match officials, not criminals.
  18. Honestly I’ve been consistent in my position that the whole thing should go in the bin, with the exception of goal line tech. People want to eliminate human error and fallibility which isn’t possible. Also the chaos is all part of the fun of the game. They ‘fix’ whatever they are trying to fix they’ll move onto something else by the following day. Was great on Wednesday not to have to worry about fucking VAR spoiling shit. Shit calls happen, just got to get on with it.
