  1. (Sorry Bing kicks off if you put actual people’s names in and also is obsessed with our wonga strip )
  2. (Modified one suggested before) Sandro Tonali x2 Bet all wages Got him banned for ages Now he’s living in Aspers
  3. I know Chelsea tried (I don’t think they succeeded) in getting FFP adjustments for the period of time they we’re technically under public ownership and couldn’t generate revenue. I wonder if they will at least argue a case that FFP adjustments could be made in a situation like this where the club isn’t at fault. Doubt we’d win it like.
  4. Has a similar situation like this ever happened before? I know there have been situations where people have been punished for leaking transfer knowledge ahead of the move. But I can’t recall a start signing being effectively banned for a new club for something that’s seemingly happened prior to their move. It feels extremely unfair on us but we probably have just get on with things.
  5. Lillestrom at home was nearly quite embarrassing mind
  6. If he has been betting on his own team even if it’s to win then 12 months is a ridiculously short ban.
  7. There’s probably more, a lot more. People who bet on football don’t tend to do random one off bets (esp if they have an addiction). I expect both parties (FIGC and the prosecutors) probably have decided not to dig deeper than they need to prove their case. Less complexity to the case easier it is to prove for them. This way they ban the player, justice is served but they don’t ruin their career irrevocably and it sends a clear message out to any other players gambling. I could speculate that they’ve chosen two high profile players who recently moved overseas to minimise the impact to the domestic leagues/clubs. Feels like they’ve leveraged a reduced ban for admissions of guilt. As has been mentioned, the speed of this compared to Toney/Toffolo etc has been lightning.
  8. I went to this game literally had the freedom of the Leazes level 7 from what I remember. Unbelievable to chuck away the lead we had from this.
  9. If there’s no statement from the FIGC he’ll just say the matter is ongoing and he’s rather not comment on it. If he’s banned he’ll just say that’s a matter for the club to deal with and support their player with but that he will continue to concentrate on the games and the squad he has to work with.
  10. Hope would be absolutely buzzing with that
  11. Stop digging man Hopey you misery merchant
  12. https://archive.ph/jCHBh nothing new really
  13. Quoting the Sky Italia reports which as recently as yesterday said that he hadn’t bet on football No believing anything until we get FIGC statement
  14. He’s just repeating the Italian reports
  15. That would be spot fixing and and much much worse. Perhaps betting on games where he was out injured? It’s as clear as mud tbh
  16. 12 months is what is mentioned in those articles isn’t it?
  17. Hope is just rehashing the Italian articles, he’s not providing any new information
  18. The Italian papers have been so back and forth that there is a non-zero chance we get a story that he’s actually a undercover police officer investigating other players (Sorry I’ve been watching too much Line or Duty).
  19. They’ll always be someone will to take the bet and all you’d need would be a VPN
  20. At least the “Milan knew” conspiracy theory should fire up the crowd for the home game.
  21. Worth remembering Romano is a Milan fan and probably has an axe to grind. He’s quoting the article rather than anybody relevant. Who the fuck knows what’s gone on.
  22. Or that we’ve known since last week like everyone else and have been proactive in supporting our player. People are determined that there’s some spiders web of who knew what and that his sale was a big conspiracy from Milan. The actual reporting seems to indicate that he’s been dragged into this as he was implicated by Fagioli.
