  1. What I was looking for is an indication that both would consistently be starting. I will bet you or anyone £1000 that we'll drop if Smith and Nolan start more than a combined 55 league games.

    Joey Barton

Of course it didn't. It's incredible that people use it against the lad.
  3. If we hadn't signed Ben Arfa and Tiote, I would have.

Why the negativity? He finally looking to be the player we've badly needed in the centre of the park for a good few years.

At least I generally have a basis for my percieved bias. You're hatred and criticism for Xisco just seems to be there for the sake of it. I just hope it isn't in connection with his alleged sexuality and you're assuming the role of that fella with the fade cut from American Beauty.

You have an agenda, it's wrong.

All I did was offer an opinion other than my own. You've based a pretty harsh and damning opinion of a player on words from some fella on a message board. It screams agenda, mate.

No. Doesn't mean I have to take any notice of them.

Nowt wrong with offering external opinions. I'm not quite arrogant enough to think I know more about Leeds United than genuine Leeds fans.
  10. Good points. You can only judge how good any team is, until they play the best. This means against the likes of Germany, Spain, Holland, Spain, Portugal. Nothing will have changed against these teams, as they will shread to pieces our defence which tonight was very poor (i.e. Hart having to make a number of good saves). I seriously wonder if you watch these internationals, mate. I remember you trying to blame the defence for drawing 0-0 with Algeria. f***ing prove it, idiot! I seem to remember you saying (amongst other guff) that Heskey played very well and Terry was terrible. Seriously, man, I like you a lot. You're a good fella, but very daft and misguided.

I wonder when your insightful analysis of his reserve performances would appear.

He's thick for not basing his entire opinion of a footballer on some daft article from a local rag?

He probably didn't even know about the story. There's every chance that the quote was fabricated. There's also every chance he couldn't articulate what he actually wanted to say. Only those with an agenda will take that story with anything more than a pinch of salt.

From a mackem, reporting someone said by an non-English speaker.
  16. He wasn't missed during the qualifiers. We probably could have done with him in the WC instead of Barry but it wouldn't have got us past Germany.

Ranger has potential but he simply shouldn't be a part of our squad right now, he should be on loan at a League One side. I still can't identify him as a striker.

Best and Shola are decent Championship players, Ranger isn't.

I still can't believe people peddle this guff. The lad's not even approaching ready for PL football.

    Shola Ameobi

He's been on borrowed time for far too long.

He's an abysmal footballer, man. Can't trap a bag a cement.

This. And as crazy as it sounds, I'd have Best in the pecking order ahead of him for exactly that. He can hold onto a ball and has a decent touch and whilst he isn't the greatest in the final third, he's a hell of alot less frustrating than Shola. We simply can't afford to have a player that can't hold onto the ball, especially if we defending a lead away from home. Agreed. Shola is absolutely useless at holding up the ball, but as a second striker I don't think he'd be that bad. I'd still rather have him over Best on any day, because playing a striker who isn't able to score simply defeats the whole point of playing strikers. Besides, if we were defending a lead away from home you'd put a midfielder on, not a striker. What on earth are you talking about? He has absolutely nothing required of a second striker.

    James Perch

I think he's an OK passer and crosser. His defending has looked poor, however and he's built like Mr Bean.
