http://images.teamtalk.com/08/09/330/Fabricio-Coloccini-Newcastle_1172170.jpg Gets me sometimes too. It's wrong that I stuck by a player that I rated when everyone was calling him shite?
-
Don't think he'll ever score for us, said the same in regard to Amdy Faye.
-
I'm sorry, but come on. This is Steven Taylor who spent 4 months licking Kinnear's arse in the local media then later went out of his way to make Shearer look like a godsend compared to old Joe. He's the biggest bullshiter to ever set foot in NE1.
-
This is the thing man, I can't believe so many are willing to completely ignore it.
-
No, I don't mean that. I was referring to daft lad's good post. In it he says he has faith in Hughton to sign a new CM in the summer because we signed a new RW in Jan. My overall point being, Pancrate, Ryan Taylor, whoever, they don't have the weight around the place that Nolan does. To imply that Nolan will be replaced just because Pancrate was, is a touch naive. Completely different scenario for Hughton. Truth be told, I would only leave Nolan out if it was our 2nd game in 3 or 4 days. Through gritted teeth i'd generally pick him to start with Guthrie but that changes the second Barton returns.
-
Good post, but as I said the other day, Fabrice Pancrate is far easier for Hughon to take out of the team than Kevin 'senior player' Nolan.
-
Taylor tends to slow down our attacks too much. Pancrate had actually looked good bombing down the wings recently.
-
Harper Simpson Williamson Coloccini Enrique Routledge* Guthrie Nolan Jonas Carroll Lovenkrands* To be replaced with Pancrate and Shola/Ranger if unfit.
-
That's the difference a few wins (and a goal) makes. We'll see a different set of opinions soon.
-
Which games has he been good in?
-
No, you and the other followers have established that. Against Swansea he was out of breath by the 12 minute mark, despite barely moving from the centre circle. Those who can't see a problem either have low expectations or are just blinded by his impressive tally of goals. How do you explain his decline in the last 2 months btw? Nowt to do at all with fitness levels of course.
-
So no player is slow just unfit? By your reasoning Guthrie is unfit. Slow? Why are you bringing pace into the argument? Because that's the only thing your "Nolan is unfit" argument seems to be based on. Where the hell did I mention Nolan's pace? He's slow, but that's not what I was using against him at all. So he's slow and unfit and unprofessional, right? That's why he's a disgrace? A professional athlete on 40K a week being unfit is a disgrace, yes.
-
Is he is as good a player at 27 as he was at 24?

You've got some front, haven't you? Your appraisal of Enrique is one of the most inaccurate the forum has ever seen.

If 27 year old lads on £16K a year can get fit and stay fit, why on earth can't Kevin Nolan on 40k a week? He's a good finisher and is intelligent, which is why gets goals. But as a midfielder, he's f***ing shocking and fitness is one of the main reasons for that.
-
The funny thing is, has Nolan missed his chances in front of goal this season, there wouldn't be a person on here defending his fitness.
-
So you are not allowed to put two players in the same sentence without being accused of comparing the two players ability? When that's clearly not what i was doing? According to Ronaldo's theory; Shearer at 29= f*** all running= bad attitude off the pitch Nolan has never been able to run very fast. How often did Shearer look overweight and knackered at 29?
-
Shearer never did alot of running at the age of 29, was he unfit? f***ing hell. How many times have you see Nolan play this season without the help of a Sky dish? Does a cable count? No. Although watching a match in Shearer's Bar counts as a half. Seriously though, answer the question. Not sure why TV viewing is less valid, but i've seen 14 games as SJP this season.
-
Yeah, that's a good call.

No way he is unfit? f*** off.
