  1. He never had the brain to be very promising. From the second he appeared he was making mistakes and it never stopped.
  2. Yep, exactly. He'd either have been injured or dragging those around him down. He was decent in the Championship 7 year ago but he's vastly deteriorated physically since then. Time to start building for the future, and he doesn't have one.

Why's so much being read into the last friendly before a major tournament? Obviously there's going to be a lack of cohesion and intensity.

    Shola Ameobi

Rapidly. He's been an absolute disgrace for years, man.

What on earth did Beckham do in 06? Terry and Ferdinand were quality in that tournament, too. Main thing that squad lacked was, as you say, a Shearer. A talisman who'd put the ball in the net when it counted.
  6. He's definitely offski IMO. Haven't heard a peep out of him since Rafa joined. If he had any future at the club, he would have been forced or pushed by the manager to communicate with the fans somehow. As good as gone IMO. There's also something up with that 'injury' he's got that's offically kept him out of the team. I think it's more likely he's been stopped for playing for some reason, perhaps because Rafa knew his heart wasn't in it and his head was in San Lorenzo, or maybe he's refused to play. I remember when he first came Mick Lowe's asked if when out injured he was giving the manager his input and advise on the team in general and he said Errm no indicating a shift taking advise from a bad apple as far as Ian concerned he should be gone and won't be missed Someone wanna try to decipher this? sorry forum police I typed it on the toilet at work left my shakespearean verse at home.... what I meant was when Rafa first arrived Mick Lowes asked Rafa if Coloccini while he was out was being a big influence in terms of offering Rafa advise on what works, what the players are like, how things work at the club etc hinting due to the fact he has been with the club so long and captain he is some sort of big important figure/influence at the club. Rafa politely said errrrm no.... I like the fact that if there was any rumoured over influence Rafa was having none of it. only point I was trying to make. Didn't mean to antagonise you, mate, just wanted a bit of clarity.
  7. Can he be any worse than when we had,Shola Hardwood Best and Lovern? Yes, yes, yes, yes.

  9. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/32817/10297713/hulls-steve-bruce-should-be-considered-for-top-jobs-says-ian-holloway Someone like Bruce. Ah, you mean David Moyes, say? Don't compare those two, man. If Brewce had been at Everton 11 years they'd have been relegated (and promoted back, probably) 3 times.
  10. Rooney's in form for England and has been for 2 years. I couldn't care less what he does in a Man U shirt playing for a manager who had him on a metal leash.
  11. Imagine some of the stupid exclusions/inclusions over the years if you picked based on form alone. Has to be a balance, as Hans says.
  12. Coloccini doesn't have the strength of character to force anyone out of anything. Shola played the biggest part in Hatem's departure in terms of the playing staff - he despised him. Sammy liked him, on the other hand.
  13. Stupid to leave him out. You look at his last 10 games for club and country and he should have been one of the first on the plane.
  14. I think 3 years ago that summed him up perfectly.
  15. This. Well said. It's a shame because we all remember how much he used to be loved. To be fair, the club firing his best friend for having cancer probably played a part in his disillusionment. Didn't he sign this contract after his best friend was fired? A year and half+ after he was frozen out and kicked out by the manager that tried to sign him to Palace? great best friend Exactly. He tried to force his way out of the club long before Jonas had cancer. And then signed a new 2-3 year deal a couple of months after the club refused to offer Jonas a new contract.
  16. Easily. Truth be told I'm not entirely comfortable with Darlow as our first choice either, mind.
  17. As if this guy still has people defending him, man.
  18. Nah. But aye though. Nah it's complete bollocks. He's cost us as many points, if not more, than he won with the odd good performance e.g. Bournemouth. Krul had been poor for a while but Elliot still hasn't really been better than him. He's just not good enough at this level, he's not tall enough, doesn't dive well, horrendously slow off his line, positioning not the best. Decent shop stopped as almost all professional footballers are and decent reflexes. He's just not very good. State of this post It's 100% accurate.
  19. Oh, good. He let that one in but it wasn't overly calamitous. Get lost with this bullshit, man.
  20. Krul to be fair is good at taking the initiative and dominating his box, especially for his age. He's still probably 5 years off his prime. It was definitely Given's weakness, no question. Elliot's just pretty shit, end of. It does wind me up when people say 'good shot stopper' mind. Every goalkeeper from Conference above is a good shot stopper. You get some who are absolutely incredible, obviously, like De Gea.
  21. Give me a break, man. Better than expectations but far from good enough. Townsend easily.
  22. As if he's chewing gum and wearing his manager's suit.
