Was it, wow I thought it was pretty early on.
Anyway I think the first goal was scored within 90 seconds.
Yep, it was really early. A lot missed it getting to their seats.
Deserves it more than a man who won the World Cup and scored most of his goals against actual football teams?
Well if one gets 50+ and the other 49, yes.
It's not grim, though. It's extremely fucking welcome when you look at it in context. Rooney deserves it too. I know it hasn't always gone for him since 2004 but he's ran his bollocks off for England and largely been our best player since then - not that there's a tonne of competition for that accolade.
Aye - the thought of him being the all time top scorer for England is grim like.
As opposed to a turncoat pretentious arsehole like Charlton? Aye, OK.
Rooney is a Scouse turncoat as opposed to a Geordie one. What's your point?
1) I'm a Geordie, as is Heza.
2) I don't think Rooney's much of a turncoat for leaving Everton for Man U, like.
He's got an almost 1 in 2 record for England almost despite not being the penalty taker till last year, the fact he's not an out-an-out goalscorer anyway and taking in account he's had a host of poor partners up front. I think he deserves a lot of credit.
Did it? Could've sworn he was a substitute.
Him up top also coincided with our worst run in form. More to do with Carver but it felt like a waste for him. He needs to be facing goal.
Eh? Carver hardly ever played him up top, he was desperate to get Cisse and Riviere together
We look awful with Cisse up top, his goalscoring isn't really as impressive as its made out to be. Squanders a lot of chances
Why's his goalscoring less impressive because he misses chances?
Same here, Perez should start anyways tbh
Perez isn't a main striker and never will be. He's lost when he's up top. Cisse at least guarantees you goals.
Still got that video somewhere. I remember seeing him play against Milan and Real in particular and absolutely fucking bossing it. Pace, touch, awareness, composure in front of goal, good in the air for a Spaniard, too.
