Surely he isn't a partner for Coloccini, though? Can't have 2 CBs under 6'.
-
The Phil Neville thing, man.
-
He is better but not that much better. Williamson is a bad player but is capable of putting in solid performances at times. Taylor can look like a very good defender in some games but in other games he just completely loses the head because as you pointed out he is thick as fuck. The way I would put it is Taylor's good performances are better than Williamson's good performances but Taylor's bad games are worse than Williamson's bad games Well, it isn't really worth dissecting. Both are a disgrace to the shirt.
-
Taylor's better than Williamson in almost every respect. He's just thick as fuck and ludicrously injury prone.
-
He's an IRA sympathising arsehole and I hope his career gets ended ASAP.
-
Ian shut up. Sad story if you can't handle someone having a modicum of conviction in their opinions.
-
Ranieri's obviously a busted flush.
-
If he's overachieving with the players at his disposal there's a little latitude to be afforded to his behaviour.
-
Strange comment. Pearson's an arsehole but he's clearly at worst a mediocre manager.
-
We both know he'll finish lower in the table than Pearson, though.
-
Because he's a decent player. So you'd have him start over anyone else we have at CM? What I meant was, with everyone fit, he'd have a place in McClaren's first team. That's how I interpreted 'first choice'. I could see him and Wijnaldum working well together. Are you high? About 5'11. Quite tall if I lived in Southern Spain. Duh, I'm 6'0. But you're from the North (Barcelona I assume, or are you like our own prawn sandwich parade-manu?)... Yup, Barcelona born and bred, but nowadays average height is pretty much the same all over Spain. I'm tall for a Spaniard, though. I must admit, I'm a tad over 6' and feel like a bit of giant every time I'm on glorious Spanish soil, which is at least once a year.
-
He's a good player who doesn't get injured, generally leads by example, communicates with those around him, is assertive, and is disgusted by Mike Williamson.
-
Says it all that the incumbent has fewer votes than anyone else.
-
Can't you answer a simple question? I asked who at present is an alternative to Coloccini assuming that Taylor and Williamson would be the natural alternatives. If you've got someone else in mind then go ahead and enlighten us. I suppose there's the right back turned centre back Dummett but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable giving him the job on a long term basis. I've said in the other thread I want de Jong and Janmaat for captaincy. For the central defence as things stand we badly need signings but I'd reluctantly be playing Lascelles and Dummett.
-
I think Cisse thrives off low crosses more than anything else. Agree in general though.
-
It's the same shit every time. I can handle the fact he can't keep up with the topics of discussion but implying and projecting an endorsement of Taylor or Williamson because I, along with pretty much everyone else, think Coloccini's a shit captain. The lad must hear voices or something.
-
I was gonna say. Cabaye looked like a white Drogba next to Anita.
-
Siem de Jong as club captain and Janmaat vice captain.
-
There really aren't any words to convey how confused, ignorant and just plain dumb you are. Evidently you don't know the meaning of 'outmuscled' and the most basic of conversations about captaincy and you come in here talking about Taylor and Williamson. If you're not wumming you genuinely have my sympathy.
-
Chris Hughton (rightly) didn't think so with Danny Simpson as the competition. And that was nearly 6 years ago.
-
10 goals in 60 PL appearances in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. As I've conceded before he's had 1 bad season in his time here. The other seasons point to him being as natural a goalscorer as we've ever had. Isn't his goals to minutes ratio even better than Shearer's? Impressive when you consider how shit the teams he's played in are.
-
There is an argument for Colo, implying that he's frightened on the pitch isn't really an argument against it. What does that even mean? How is he frightened? What makes you think he's not a leader? He doesn't point his arms and fist pump like Taylor? I knew you were pretty stupid, but if you've legitimately watched the last 3 seasons and ask a question like that you need some help. Frightened - see Lukaku, Fuller, (and more recently) Morgan. Stop wasting people's time with these idiotic posts, man.
-
I'd love to know which 2 these were. He kept us up in 12-13 with his goals in the second half of the season after the Ba nonsense in the first half. Hardly a 'bad' season.
-
There's nee argument for Colo, like. He's quite clearly uncomfortable in a leadership role. Not to mention the fact a captain who is frequently frightened on the pitch doesn't set the right tone for the club.
-
The fact there's recognition a decision has to be made is certainly a good thing.
