He's English and doesn't hit women or crash cars drunks. Of course the stupid lazy pundits like Merson will rate him above the better looking foreigners in the side.
Even as an NUFC fan if I was a professional I wouldn't want to waste a minute of my career at Ashley's Newcastle United. Given was 32 and offered the chance to leave the cesspit to win trophies. Fair play to him.
6-1 wasn't it? David fucking Edgar for us.
I don't hold any bad feeling towards Given. He was most likely lied to and forced out like the rest of them. Players with ambition don't stay at this NUFC for too long.
Yeah. Both have strengths and weaknesses, neither good enough to help us really control games.
I do lean towards Anita if we have to include one (and we do), though.
And Rooney isn't an out and out goalscorer, either. Man U used him as the workhorse of the team for years and to a large extent continue to do so.
I know people dislike Rooney but come on.
As a footballer yes, as a striker,no.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Wiki suggests Rooney's scored more goals than Lineker managed. Can't be that much difference if any at all in Lineker's favour.
Rooney's still got lots of goals in him but his movement reminds me of Shearer's before Bobby came in. He's just lacking that extra sharpness and confidence.
