10 goals in 60 PL appearances in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. As I've conceded before he's had 1 bad season in his time here. The other seasons point to him being as natural a goalscorer as we've ever had. Isn't his goals to minutes ratio even better than Shearer's? Impressive when you consider how shit the teams he's played in are.

There is an argument for Colo, implying that he's frightened on the pitch isn't really an argument against it. What does that even mean? How is he frightened? What makes you think he's not a leader? He doesn't point his arms and fist pump like Taylor? I knew you were pretty stupid, but if you've legitimately watched the last 3 seasons and ask a question like that you need some help. Frightened - see Lukaku, Fuller, (and more recently) Morgan. Stop wasting people's time with these idiotic posts, man.

I'd love to know which 2 these were. He kept us up in 12-13 with his goals in the second half of the season after the Ba nonsense in the first half. Hardly a 'bad' season.

There's nee argument for Colo, like. He's quite clearly uncomfortable in a leadership role. Not to mention the fact a captain who is frequently frightened on the pitch doesn't set the right tone for the club.

The fact there's recognition a decision has to be made is certainly a good thing.
  6. I see both Colback and Anita as decent options. If we're playing an array of mostly attacking midfielders it would probably make most sense to anchor it with Anita, though.
  7. You're only two years younger than me, you must have seen Pedro.
  8. He's at least a 7.5 out of 10 defender and a very good leader who happens to be the main reason only 4 teams conceded fewer goals than Stoke last season. If that constitutes a mancrush, fair play. It's actually probably more creepy that the false 9 brigade advocate wasting money on players with no PL experience/aptitude instead of the likes of Shawcross.
  9. Talk about what you want. Just my opinion that this nonsense is way past any scope for actual debate. He obviously gives less of a shit about his career than you do.
  10. It shows Hodgson doesn't rate him at international level. It means absolutely fucking nothing to a club playing shit like Coloccini, Williamson and Taylor. What's noted is that you're a bit of fool who clearly can't comprehend that consistently stopping goals going in generally leads to more points.
  11. So boring this, like. He's got a gut, it's unprofessional. He's clearly gained a lot of weight in the past 2 years which has coincided with a massive career slump. I love his talent and will miss him playing for us but there's blatantly something wrong. Let's move on.
  12. Are you an athlete like? If he's in training and still that size he must be comfort eating to fuck.
  13. I know he's basically been out of football for 7 months or whatever but that's got to be some serious dietary issue. He must be eating takeaways 6 times a week.
  14. That is pretty fucking awesome. I suppose they would though.
  15. Colo's the senior defender in a team that virtually concedes more goals than any other PL team. Shawcross is the senior defender in a team that concedes fewer goals than the vast majority of the PL. At worst he's a very solid CB.
  16. Says who? if he was very good he wouldn't still be at Stoke. He's the best player and captain for the 9th best team in the league. He's not really a top 4 player so is there any real incentive/opportunity for him to leave when he'd cost close over £15m? Shawcross is the best CB we could hope to attract and exactly what our defence and team as a whole needs. As said, though, he'd cost too much for us to be in for him.
  17. I wasn't being serious, like.
  18. I wonder if he was told to say wow on seeing the Sports Direct logos on top of the East stand.
  19. Was the last number 5 Danny Simpson or am I forgetting someone?
  20. He's much better looking than Ryder, man.

Yes, he's a definite improvement. The coaching staff looks miles better than last season.
