  1. No. I do know he appeared in each of the worst/heaviest defeats I can think of during the past 5 years.
  2. Colback protects the defence every bit as 'well' as Tiote and actually occasionally gives you something going forward. While Tiote's in our midfield we'll always be liable to fail to control the game at home and get utterly dicked away.

Mind Gouffran's nee second striker, either. He's a poor man's poacher who used to run around a lot.

    La Liga 14/15

Got to watch it in Maspalomas with 100 crying fans, too. Great stuff.
  5. As if a successful man of the world like Tom is in fucking Leicester, man. Behave yourself.
  6. I didn't say they were if you read the post again, in fact I basically absolved Modric of blame, but when James got injured the team became overly reliant on the likes of Bale and Ronaldo to come up with the goods in the final third. They really could've done with a CM in there with more to offer going forward.
  7. That post would have far more weight if they hadn't just had a poor season with those two in the midfield. Modric, to be fair, deserves little of the blame and I think most commentators know how great he is despite not fitting either conventional midfield role.
  8. Cost well over £15m, unfortunately. We'll never pay that for someone approaching 30. I agree, though. He's as good as we could possibly get and he's the type of CB we've needed for over a decade.

Well he's already kissed Ashley's arse a couple of times so the job's in full swing I'd say. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zFYtPYwEWNc/U8nWUsKvh_I/AAAAAAAAJ3g/cgML9VIyGiM/s1600/Pennywise+13.gif
  10. Amazing header from the little shit for the winning goal. Yep. Followed by the worst goal celebration I've ever seen not involving a mask.
  11. Best since Argentina 3-2 I reckon as a game to watch. I missed that one sadly but the highlights would suggest that. Owen Hatrick? Nah, Owen scored twice. Rooney got the first.
  12. Who cares? In 1 or 2 more games he'll have more than anyone else. Does that make him our best ever player? No. Makes him our best ever goalscorer in spite of how deep he usually plays and the fact he wasn't our penalty taker till last year.
  13. Who cares? In 1 or 2 more games he'll have more than anyone else.
  14. You say this like he's been England's best player for years. He wasn't even a guaranteed starter till very recently.
  15. Nah, Rooney's been fine. Done the right things with the ball when he's had it. Can't same the for the players around him, but he's an easier target.
  16. Credit where due, mind. Fantastic finish.
  17. The Fifa rankings sound like the NE Journalism Awards.
  18. He's been the top goal scorer and a very important squad member, aye - but like I said I doubt we'd have failed to qualify without him We certainly wouldn't have qualified automatically without him.
  19. Since 2004 he's been poor in the tournaments, granted.
  20. In recent years we qualified for the last World Cup because of him and his goals. He has 7 in the last 8 since the WC.
  21. To be fair to him, he deserves to start on his England performances. He's always been bright in an England shirt. Very effective running at limited defenders.
  22. Colo doesn't have 'lapses', though. He's consistently outmuscled and outthought by his opponents, and that's when he is putting effort in. I do worry a little about Cabella, mind. I look at all the small-statured players who've been successful in the PL and they've all had outstanding attributes that protect the weakness from exposure - pace, intelligence etc. Cabella doesn't.
