Were you following NUFC when he said the right decision for the board was to make him manager because we only lost 2-0 against Chelsea?

This is a man who's made a mess of every club he's been involved with, yet he publically insisted he deserved to manage Newcastle United because Jose Mourinho hugged him and said so. He's acted like an utter cunt for a while.

to the point. I agree, I honestly cannot see how it's possible for him to be in charge past the summer. Even our fans won't allow it. Same was said about Pardew, within two months most of the fanbase were lodged up his arse. We're already seeing justification for him: open attacking football against Southampton, 20 minutes against Chelsea... If the players string two passes together at any point in the next five months, there'll be a significant minority wanting him in full time. As I've said before, Carver doesn't have the nous to placate and deceive the fans to anything like the extent Pardew did. Nor does he have a 5th place finish to defend his position with. I think you might be overestimating the correlation between an Ashley-backed manager keeping his job and that manager having the backing of the fans. Also, getting the backing of these fans is easy as most don't really give a s*** either way. Carver's not Pardew. He'll crack like a cheap ornament under any significant pressure from the fans. Of which I'm sure there'll be plenty. I really do think even the most battered of the battered wives are on the verge of drawing a line now. That's if he's terrible. If he can sniff mediocrity he'll be fine/ If John Carver can achieve anything close to mediocrity I've got a fucking bridge to sell you.

  5. Playing 2 ball playing CBs both on the small side has never worked in the PL. It never will, either. PL strikers are superathletes in 2015. Partnering Mapou with a bloke who gets outmuscled and out jumped by Shane Long would never have brought out the best in him.
  6. Dare I say that part of the reason we're in this mess is because plenty hold that specific idea.
  7. Because nobody wants to buy him. Same with the likes of Coloccini and Williamson. They've been here so long because any manager worth his salt looking at them will identify the blatant weaknesses.
  8. Nobody's advocated him recommending players more compatible with the Pardew approach.
  9. Agree with Ron here. I think he's DOF in all but title personally. Namely because he has more power than the manager.

It's realism. Nothing that kept Alan Pardew in a job long past his sell-by date applies to John 'meet iz at the training groond' Carver.
  11. I think we all know Carr's no chief scout. I didn't imply he'd made any such decision, either. He very clearly has Ashley's ear to the extent Ashley spends huge amounts by his standards on his recommendations. I see no evidence he tried to put a stop to this ludicrous departure. All conjecture, obviously.

Nobody is going to be fooled by that spiel, man. Even the 'definitely thick' as KI would put it.
  13. Goes further than Pardew, mind. Charnley, Carr and the 'coaching' staff all also have culpability in my eyes.

  15. Should've been Spain targeted in the first place. Far better schooled players. Winning mentality, too.
  16. Far more to do with the fact Pardew's system of negating the opposition helped us beat better sides and fail to beat ones there for the taking.

Sick of hearing about this now. He'll be gone by summer at the latest. Shut up.

It's exactly the type of thing he'd come out with, man. He welcomed the return of Kinnear in 2013 ffs. He'll come out with any old rubbish his cunt of a father tells him to in order to blag another contract for sitting on his arse with tears in his eyes.

Not if you have an ounce of self respect Ian. Well it's annoying to us, but mainly because nobody rates Carver. If Remy Garde came in and said he loved watching Keegan's team and respected Bobby I doubt anyone would worry. It's the fact it's Carver that makes it wrong, because nobody wants him. Which is fair enough. Do you ever stop talking shit, Ian? It's just relentless, how you can construct a pitiful argument in conflict with common sense again and again.

    Lee Charnley

I think he's the only man I've ever seen who could possibly make Mike Ashley look remotely acceptable, like. Just utterly repugnant physically.

And if they appoint someone crap then all will be forgiven if they have us playing better football. And the beat goes on.

    Alan Shearer

Not if he played for Newcastle United and Blackburn.

Let's just all be grateful we'll never see a Carver-managed NUFC captained by Gump.
