So beating Oldham, Boro, City (then in second tier), Arsenal, Sheff Wed and a Spurs side containing Ben Thatcher and Chris Perry better than taking Boro (via victories over Stuttgart, Roma and Basel) to the UEFA Cup final? Yes, winning is better than finishing 2nd. That's before you even take into account which teams listed there were taking the respective tournaments more seriously.

And nobody said he was shit. As I've already said, he's a 5/10 manager with a CV and style which inspire absolutely nothing other than indifference. It'll be shit football and average (at best) results. What will any of us get out of that? Fucking nothing.
-
He isn't. Souness' league cup win with Blackburn eclipses anything McClaren's achieved, also.
-
Sorry, but this just strikes me as small-minded sensationalism. Or common sense that some don't want to hear. Is he a better option that Kinnear, Pardew and Carver? Yes. But that's hardly an endorsement. So had/has Graeme Souness. I don't even know who you are, bugger off and stop wasting my time.
-
Those two really have the same number of appearances? Freaky.
-
Is James Milner not still playing for the U21s?
-
McClaren's a 5/10 manager more likely to get us relegated than into European contention. Can do so much better.
-
Except Colback, as medicore as he often is, is better in almost every area.

That's not true like. The only right back that got the better of him that season was Perch. He was easily one of our best players, not that I think he'd be any good in the Championship now. I remember plenty of games in that division where he had little impact. He's just not very good. Never has been. That's a load of rubbish man. You not liking him doesn't mean that he's never had his uses. I do like him. And you're the one talking rubbish. He's pretty much a perfect professional and clearly a nice, admirable person. Poor footballer, though. Mostly awful in our relegation season and underwhelming in the Championship. Had a decent time of it from early 2011 to mid '12 when it was basically his function to just protect the full-back and graft through games while the rest of the side put points on the board. Nah. I make absolutely no apologies for thinking attacking players who can't make things happen in the final third aren't very good.

Pretty sure it expires in July 2016. Not really standard practice to let a manager's contract expire before offering a new one.

Who's that in response to?

Bottom 6 form is putting it mildly. We got 16 points from the final 19 league games.

Oooof, low blow. http://i.imgur.com/LCfdnZt.jpg What were you thinking posting this, man?

Richard Wright in Trafford Centre Apple shop then TGI's. Christ did he fall off the map.

Averaged only a few seconds per season. Worse than Saylor.
-
He wouldn't have played anyway.
-
He's right. But then again, if he'd played we'd have lost by 4.

Colo is very decent on the air when nobody is around him. Unfortunately the only way that's possible on corners is to put him well outside the box. Surrounded by bodies he tends to win absolutely nothing. He doesn't have the leap, the size or the strength.
-
I don't like Real, either. Lesser of two evils at the moment, though. Used to really enjoy Barca when their side was 10 cracking, mostly honest players and Cuntsquets.
-
Aye, not a nice area but had a great time there. Good student town in its own right.
-
Yep. He has 1 good game in 3 in Spain. Shame.
-
Wrong, by and large the vast majority thought he was doing just fine but a good chunk had ideas way above their station and wanted better. My mate says he will eventually go down as the best manager they have ever had unless they achieve a whole lot more in the coming years. I lived there for 5 years. Very few supporters I ever came across had good things to say about him. They all knew he'd fail miserably with England.

Says someone who supports Newcastle. I don't see how the two connect. One has the potential to the be the best and most successful club in the world without cheating throughout games.

Boro indeed. The fans there wanted him sacked for years.
