Bassong, Tettey, Snodgrass, Fer, Redmond, van Wolfswinkel and Hooper are all good players that have been added to the squad that finished 12th. No wonder their supporters are protesting against him.
I never really understand how his results with Norwich prove anything tbh. He doesn't exactly have much to work with there. Or am I missing something?
You don't really follow football in general, do you?
I've seen Norwich and they look like a very ordinary squad to me.
They finished 12th before Hughton came in and he's spent a lot if money on some good players. They looked like going down with 2 games to play last season and will be involved in a relegation battle (at best) again. Not to mention the fact they've only scored 19 goals this season.
Hughton's a great bloke but it's nowt short of a miracle he's still managing in the PL.

Yeah definitely. Lovely left foot
EDIT: Didnt SBR try to make him a left winger?
Bobby played with wingers. He wanted two players who could primarily support the attack and secondarily win the ball in the middle. Can't say I disagree with that philosophy at all, tbh. He was never going to dislodge Dyer and Speed, but he would've found his feet in the middle eventually.
Viana would've blossomed into a fine PL midfielder eventually.
20-year-old Viana would be our best CM by a mile if he was here now, by the way. Sad, but true.
I'm gonna say no, actually. Pardew clearly isn't getting the best out of him but we were told when he signed that he wasn't a good footballer outside the box, just a good goalscorer.
He is a cunt, mind. Not so long back he was saying how good it was to see Kinnear back and that we were 'flying' before he had his heart attack. As a fella I can't stand him.
He's the last player who should be apologising. He's still raw as fuck and shouldn't be involved in the first team picture but he emerges from the 4 disgraces since WHU with credit.
None of the CBs are what we need but they aren't the reason we keep losing games. Total lack of ability to keep the ball or threaten in the final third need addressing first.
Unfortunately we have very few (if any) players with both passion and genuine ability. When the chips are down this becomes a problem, not to mention the awful lack of leadership on and off the field.
