Hahaha, calm down Dave. Seriously, I think that could work. In sensible format it would be: Barton Nolan Tiote Gutierrez Ben Arfa Carroll But Nolan with licence to get forward unmarked (what he does best), Ben Arfa with licence to roam and create (what he does best) and Carroll up there to hold the ball up and/or play those two in as runners. We still have width, with good quality in Barton and the, er, running power of Jonas. It's a settled, reasonably balanced midfield which we know can get results, and our best striker up there causing mayhem. Ben Arfa then slots in and is simply told to be creative and not have to worry about working back. Absolutely!

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.. I actually shouted 'GET INNNN' (well.. the bulgarian equivalent) on top of my lungs in the office. Nothing can stop us now like!!

Howay los muchachos!

I honestly don't know what some folk watch. er.. Would you say Harper is better at dealing with crosses? Yes, without doubt. well, I honestly don't know what some folk watch

I honestly don't know what some folk watch. er.. Would you say Harper is better at dealing with crosses? I know Krul dropped the ball a couple of times but his physique alone gives him an advantage over Harper in that respect..

Anderlecht?

Would prefer for us to go for the unproven, promising signings over the likes of Keane tbh. Honestly think the squad at the minute is good enough to keep is up and we should be looking to the future in the transfer market, rather than trying to consolidate. That's kind of where I was coming from too. I get Yorkie's point also, he feels we need someone to stay up. Perhaps I'm a more optimistic but I seen enough from the current squad to feel we have the qulaity to survive comfortably already and we need to start looking towards the future. A win on Wednesday, might change our policy a bit, especially if we could follow that up with another win before we sign someone, that would put us on 31 points and only a complete implosion would stop us from accumulating enough points over the last 4 months of the season to survive. Exactly my thoughts too. For the money Spurs would want for Keane/Bentley, we can acquire pretty much any promising forward from the lesser leagues around Europe. It would still be a gamble of course, but I'd rather we take our chances on a young hungry player determined to perform for us than on someone who has struggled in the Premier League for the last 2-3 seasons. If we take the opportunity and buy the right kind of player we'll have fixed the striker position for years to come. On the other hand, buying Keane would be the easy, stop-gap measure for this season. Then we'll be stuck with him starting games for the next 3 years as he declines into a proper overpaid has-been like many others did here.. Let's not get back to those mistakes.

You have beaten us once in the last 30 years at 'your place'.. Bruce has assembled a decent team but you're getting carried away a bit there
-
Are you saying you think you will finish above us? god no, that would be impossible!!
-
Very good save yesterday. I'd still prefer Krul like.. reckon he's more agile and more commanding in the air. But Harper has always been reliable so no complaints here..
-
Charlie Adam is mint.. Clever player, great vision and one of the best in the Premier League as far as shooting/passing/crossing technique goes
-
Love did well to find dangerous positions and Pardew deserves credit for sticking two upfront. Ameobi on his own would never have pinned back their defence the way we did But that chance.. why would you switch the ball to your stronger when you're in the keeper's box .. Fair enough if you have to take a difficult shot, but from 3 yards?

Garra Dembele.. 26 goals in 23 games this season, 7 in the UEFA Cup. He's apparently on the verge of signing for some Russians for 2mil, cause he got caught drunk driving with a fake license over here ( ).. But he's a quick and powerful poacher and has showed remarkable consistency this season.. And he's mates with Ben Arfa from Clairefontain.. Lacina Traore is somewhat similar to him in the sense that he's both powerful and quick. But from what I've seen Dembele is the more clinical finisher right now..

Not Keane or Bentley.

7m is a lot for somebody who has looked awfully short of confidence for the last 2 seasons.. I'd try elsewhere like
-
Unfortunate that the microphone was next to him tbh Monster performance once again. He's great!

Ferguson
-
what a run Thought he was going to break his legs or something..
-
.. He fucked up on three occasions, pointing to various people as if it was their fault.. Then did his usual stomach ache impression when the ball hit his hand.. He did ok in the second, but brilliant is a bit much
-
but he always gives you 100%!!

For today probably.. but no doubt good news that he won't be out for a month or so
