Whatever happened to all the little one twos we used to play, used to play some lush football in the channels. Those little runs behind the full backs caused mayhem, Bruno often the one feeding them. Trippier was heavily involved as well but just rarely seem to use it anymore.

The last 20-25 minutes and the subs against Brighton he probably let himself down but the game should have been killed by then. I was in one of the Chelsea stands, no idea which one but it was a home end and it was quality to be fair. Really modern, loads of good food and drinks options, loads of screens , was class.

I don’t even think you’re playing devils advocate it’s just a very good point. A lot of them aren’t living up to the hype at the moment , in fact, the majority of them. Bruno, Gordon and Isak have been well off it so far.

It was anything but gutless as you described it, it was lacking final product, a cutting edge. The commitment and effort was there, the performance was actually very good for the most part. It wasn’t gutless.
