If Obertan is subbed, be interesting to hear the crowd's reaction.
-
More like skidmark Obertan.
-
Fucking hell Obertan, just fuck off. Utter shit.
-
Great save by Krul. Really thought that was going to be a goal.

I'm watching this out of habit, but if the stream died I'm not sure I could be bothered to click on a different one to put it back on again. Dire.
-
Anybody going to bother posting the team or is it a state secret?

They'd have carried on the charade if it wasn't for the uproar in the media when someone noticed they'd paid NO tax at all for nearly 2 decades. So they sheepishly announced a tiny, token profit so they would pay a tiny bit of tax. I'm highlighting Starbucks, but every company uses legal and not so legal means to minimise their tax exposure. I'm sure Newcastle United are no different in that regard.

Aubameyang? What's Kuyt up to these days?

We haven't reported a profit before player trading yet. Operating profit for the last 7 years has been... -29.0m -24.7m -37.7m -33.5m -3.9m -5.1m -0.6m I'd expect us to spend in Summer. Conveniently ignoring the mahoosive tv deal Why discount player trading btw? Does that money not count? I struggle to trust these numbers. Remember that Starbucks reported a profit of £1.05m last year. They have 791 stores and that's the first profit they've reported in 17 years. Never underestimate the importance of a decent accountant. I'd be amazed if the numbers NUFC report are anywhere near indicative of the financial performance of the club and everything associated with it.

I travel overseas a lot with work, and can be sent almost anywhere in the world. Even 2 years ago I'd never miss a Newcastle match, irrespective of the time zone I was in or what time it meant stopping up until with work the next day. Now even when I'm in the UK and the match is on a weekend, I'd rather go shopping with the wife. I've been going to Newcastle games for 25 years and there'll never be another club that can replace them in my heart, but I can't take interest in a team that isn't even interested in itself.

It's not a better record, it's a less shit record.

Probably at f***ing left back.

I'm just waiting by my keyboard to see how the Chronicle are going to try to keep the propaganda campaign going now. However Carver will soon lose enough that the Chronicle will be tipped the wink by NUFC that he's not getting the job full-time, they'll go on the offensive about him and everyone will think they've got free speech.
-
I'm of a similar feeling. Gone from loving to loathing NUFC. Hoping they lose every game, suffer a glut of injuries and lose their precious TV deal. This. It'll not cost me a single penny if Newcastle go down, but it'll cost fatty tens of millions. That's fine by me.
-
I for one will be giving Carver my full support. Local lad. Worked with Sir Bobby. Been at the club for ages. Plus he's been working on our tactics, and I've got it on good authority that he's quite definitely NOT Alan Pardew. What more do you shitheads want?

Saw BetVictor were offering 100-1 on us going down. Went to stick £25 quid on and in the time I could open an account they changed it to 75-1. Still took it.

Just in from the shops. Might go back out and see if any are still open.

"Bloody well written"? She must have bloody low standards if she genuinely believes that. A while back I had too much wine and fell asleep face-down on my keyboard. When I woke up, I'd still composed something infinitely more coherent than Lee Ryder has ever managed.
-
"It's not one of the games we're looking to win". He'll ignore that we've not won many of those either. Then he'll go and lick a window, covered in his daily ration of NUFC-supplied jam.
-
Indeed. It doesn't matter if all our players leave for £35m each or instead go on Bosmans. Either way, Fat Mike will invest the bare minimum necessary to finish 10th next year. The money we receive is irrelevant, it only determines how much profit he makes.

It's utterly sickening. Thankfully there's a bit of a backlash that seems to be building in the comments as people, myself included, are calling them out on it quite a lot. Sadly they don't seem to give a shit.

Incandenza is showing severe "battered wife syndrome". How many times do they club have to slap you down, tell you you're worth nothing and refuse to look the side you're on? We've been in this relationship for over 7 years and if you can't tell by now that this is how they are, that we're already seeing the real them, you're a lost cause my friend. Thinking "Oh, but they might change" is a waste of time and energy. Yes, it's not an easy relationship to get out of because it's probably more like an abusive parent or child than a partner you can actually walk away from. But you have to see them for what they are and stop enabling and supporting this kind of behaviour from them because, let me tell you: THEY WILL NOT CHANGE.

They see the manager as the least important person at the club. He's just there to stand on the sideline and do the interviews. They genuinely don't think a good manager will make enough difference, at least not enough difference to bother trying to find one. All they want is someone cheap who will do as he's told because he's so grateful to have the job. They had that in Pardew and they've got it again in Carver.
