I just long for the day that someone addresses the real issue and asks him about his shit, negative tactics. The rest of it is a waste of time and ink. I don't care what he's doing about the language barrier or whether he feels there's too many French players. I care about whether he feels he can bring an attacking style to Newcastle, where we make the opposition worry about us rather than the other way round. Something that has been utterly lacking throughout his entire tenure here to date.

... THIS IS NOT TRUE. We've performed badly as a team for 2 bloody years, since the day Pardew was appointed. Scraping wins through individual brilliance or getting lucky were our only routes to perceived success. But then our luck ran out, Demba Ba ran out, Ben Arfa limped out and Cisse was shunted out (to the right wing). Now the orchestrator of all this needs to be run out. Blaming our perfomances on the team's heads dropping is utter bullshit. It's down to mis-management and our abhorent tactics. Suggesting otherwise is at best being blind to the problems and at worst is an outrageous lie. However I agree we need to get behind the team for the games. That's obvious. But lets not pretend that we can't do that AND try to run Pardew out for spoiling what is an otherwise potentially very good side. Playing under Pardew must be like trying to ignore a turd in a swimming pool whilst everyone tells you to just get on and enjoy your swim. In theory you should be able to get on and do what you're there to do, but you surely can't give it your best and even the most professional amongst us would eventually start to suggest that if the poo isn't removed, they're getting out and finding a different pool.

Bit cuntish of the club. Basically trying to ensure that only club-approved news is printed. Arseholes. Really hate that kind of behaviour. Even if the Edwards article is completely made up, why can't the players or the club just refute it publicly? They'll claim they shouldn't have to respond to every inaccurate news story, and to an extent that's fair, but this is too far the other way. Whether there's a split or not is a matter of opinion, I doubt the club can prove there isn't and I doubt Edwards can prove there is. Maybe they should go with a massive article on how Pardew's negative, boring tactics are abhorent, ineffective and cowardly? Refute that one, NUFC.

This. The surprising thing isn't what they're saying, it's that they're finally saying it at all. The press have been almost as cowardly in their supposed 'journalism' as Pardew has been in his 'tactics'. Both words in inverted commas as their respective attempts have fallen so woefully short of the descriptions as to barely fit within their remit.

Frankly I think it's disgusting that they put out the performance they did on Saturday and as a result they have to do about an hour's work on Monday. I'd certainly have had them in on Sunday. And for a hell of a lot longer than an hour. And Monday. There's so much needs doing and so little time. They work about 10 hours a week ffs, including match days. Tiredness is one thing but they can sure as hell sit round and talk for a while, that shouldn't tire anyone out.

Alan Pardew rewarded

Even the Sunderland away game wasn't a good performance as such, we just defended really well. We still created fuck all for most of the game. Bordeaux home match wasn't that one-sided either. We scored 3, but the balance of overall play wasn't that great.
