  1. I think Howe is a very decent manager, but he'd ruin his reputation coming here because we'd not back him at all.
  2. I don't see why that would matter. I could be a billionaire and I'd still not set foot in that ground whilst Ashley's there.
  3. Not saying you're saying exactly this, but something similar has been trumpeted for ages - "Ashley won't care if you stop away, he doesn't need the ticket money with the size of the TV deals so we might as well just keep going" The pandemic has proven this to be utter bullshit. Without ticket revenue, he's fucked.
  4. Benitez took over a team getting relegated and gradually yet consistently improved them and turned them into a team which in his last quarter of the season was the 6th best in the league. Then Bruce comes in and gradually yet consistently takes them backwards again towards relegation. Maybe we should cut him some slack and lay off him?
  5. Filled it in, for the little its worth. Annoying you can't press "Submit" without putting in an email address, so I used my standard "[email protected]" - Apologies to whoever actually owns this, wherever you are in the world, for the ensuing piles of Chronicle spam.
  6. I mean, we know he would do that because he's done it twice before. But it didn't exactly work well the last 2 times though, did it it? Not exactly learning from experience.
  7. I know you will get the conspiracy theories that he hates Geordies and wants us to suffer, but the reality is probably more mundane. He knows nothing about football, and being thin skinned he only hires toadies and friends to look after the club. That's why we had Llambias, a casino manager, and now Charnley who's more of a PA, again no football background to speak of given the responsibility of running a football club. The pair of them most likely don't really have any idea where to turn next. When you are ringing Joe Kinnear or Graham Carr for advice then you can understand why they are sitting on their hands hoping it all goes away. I don't care about people having no experience. Sure Charnley had no experience when he was appointed, but now he has the experience so that excuse no longer washes, and he's still shit and still under no threat of being replaced. Anyone can gain experience. Not everyone gains competence and at this club a lack of competence isn't a hindrance to continued employment and that's why we never move towards.
  8. I'm in full "let it all burn" mode, so fuck it.
  9. Surely not Nah. We have 14 til we play next. Probably be nearer 10 or 12. The amazing thing is people are genuinely questioning whether the initial "9 days off" comment is legit. Says everything you could possibly say about this utter cabbage.
  10. Nearly in the 90th minute and 0 shots on target. What exactly is the plan to score a goal, like, ever? Absolutely woeful.
  11. Absolutely no scenario at all. No reason he should. Why should he walk from a rumoured £4m payout? I fucking wouldn't. Should absolutely be sacked though.
  12. It's this entirely, isn't it? We're just constantly playing for 0-0 no matter the opposition. Even when we're behind. There's just no plan to score, any time we do is just happy coincidence. Not only is it fucking awful to watch, but (completely unsurprisingly) it doesn't even work.
  13. Charnley. He couldn't march to WHSmith to buy some sellotape man. He won’t even have the authority to do that. I'm saying what I think should happen, not what I have any expectation of happening.
  14. Should sack him now, don't even wait until full time. Have Charnley march down to the dugout and fire him immediately.
  15. Looking at the stats, it seems we're lucky to have even scored 0
  16. That "Pep Guardiola would struggle to succeed" is such a disingenuous headline, because they're two managers with very different definitions of "succeed". If by succeed you mean win titles, sure he'd struggle to succeed. He'd likely come up short. But Bruce isn't failing to win titles, he's failing to keep us in the league. We've seen how a good manager would NOT fail to keep us comfortably in the league, as Benitez had us looking comfortable and indeed looking upwards. Then this fat mess comes in, rides the initial wave of Rafa's hard work for a year and then undoes it all to the extent that we're back at the bottom of the table again.
  17. He should be binned if we don't win, not if we get beat. I mean he should obviously be binned anyway, but if we're giving him the Brighton game a draw's no good.
  18. 2 week international break after Brighton, I think it’ll depend on how many points we get in next 3. I think he'll be back for Brighton.

Don't mind them celebrating a win, you can only win the competitions you enter. Couldn't give a toss about it myself though. I'd have slightly preferred they got beat, because that would be funny, but that's about it as far as it even registers to me at all.
  20. Funny, other teams manager to create chance after chance. Often against us, for starters.
  21. Toyed with switching this on but the comments on the first 2 pages have convinced me not to waste my evening and instead I'll just come back later and see how shit we were.
  22. Question I'd always like to ask them is "Would you want him managing your club?"
  23. Honestly, I'm so repulsed by everything I'm now firmly in crash and burn territory. Want to see the whole thing go down in flames until MA is forced to sell for peanuts. What both of these people said, to the letter. Fuck it all. If we go down, it doesn't cost me a single penny. Nothing. So bring it on.
  24. He’ll be in the bath with it as we speak Hopefully he's making toast...
