  1. He smiled at me when I was little, having returned from 3-1 defeat at Riverside in Coca Cola cup. Love him.
  2. Bastards man. Some people have already made arrangements! Good job i'm off for revision otherwise i couldn't make a Monday.
  3. That it would. If we stayed up, at their expense, i would so love it. For a few days I'd forget all our problems. After all the stick, boro and sunderland went down and we didn't. ahahahahahahhahha Probably won't happen, but probably our best chance of staying up.
  4. I wouldn't go as far as to say a win is totally essential. I think Stoke will be okay regardless, so don't necessarily see it as a 6 pointer. Huge game though. We need to win those 3 home games at least, and a win or some draws elsewhere should be needed - this is the best chance.
  5. I agree they're our best chances, but awful fixtures to play? Hull's fixtures include Boro and Sunderland away, Stoke at home and Bolton away Sunderland's Hull home, West Brom away, Bolton away, Portsmouth home. Not easy for them, but some good chances for points, of course points will be distributed when they play each in 2 weeks and one has a 5 point head start and the other 3. Don't know why I look. eugh.
  6. 8 to a 6. Don't think it's naiive to think He's got a good chance of giving us a boost. But even if he is a good manager, it will be difficult.
  7. Ashley's crapness doesn't make Freddy's crapness any better, but yes, I do wish he was still here. We weren't wrong to want him out, but I didn't envisage relegation under him.
  8. Upto an 8 from a 7. Play well still don't win, but more importantly Stoke and Portsmouth winning.
  9. That doesn't make any sense. How could they have finished below West Ham twice in one season? Especially seeings as finishing below them would have meant they went down. Bizarre. What do you mean twice? I believe West Ham went from third bottom to 5th (or even 6th bottom - did Wigan come behind too?).
  10. Tear to my eye, seriously. It's all I ask for, love.
  11. Sorry, but why must Valencia sell players? they're only 8th in the league
  12. Is 39 points enough to keep us up? I made an optimistic estimate for our remaining games and had us getting 10 points. Think that could be enough, but then looking at Stoke's fixtures.
  13. In a way things went slightly well yesterday. We weren't in the relagation zone, we're still not. We didn't lose points on anyone, and we gained 1 on Stoke and Sunderland. However, what worried me so much was the end. I can't remember the last time I was at a game, or an away game at least, where I was actually like "Come on man, we can win this!". We really could have, we had pressure, Hull were frightened. But we didn't! We never created that chance we needed. And if we couldn't do it in that game, I see very few other opportunities to do so. Undecided on my number. Probably still a 7. Ludicrous that we're in this dire situation and we're relying on 2 guys, who to be fair would never claim to be managers. It's nooone's fault JFK got ill, but this isn't the sort of situation where we can just wait around for him.
  14. I'll be at the games as normal. If anything I might make an extra effort for away games, since there'll be a lot of grounds I've never been to.
  15. Thinking Lovenkrands could be quite an important buy for us. I think crap enough to stay with us, but good enough to do quite well at that level.
  16. Why ? Because they're realistic ? Hope doesn't get points man. How many points have we thrown away in the last minute ? And we aren't scoring many. It all adds up to disaster. The disgusting messes being made at the likes of Blackburn and Bolton and the like will be hugely costly And if ever there was a modern version of "Lions led by Donkeys" its this lot Only it's DONKEYS led by Donkeys. I'd settle for staying up on goal difference. Just makes me chuckle how people pick this result of all results to start doom monging. I think it's more the combination of this (albeit somewhat inevitable result) with other results achieved by teams around us and the remaining fixtures...I think THAT's why people are doom monging/mongering so much more after tonight. Just said this in the other thread. Tonight the other results put a negative spin on what was, all in all a positive result. If we go down it will be because of games such as Stoke, Wigan and Blackburn not because of games against Manchester United. It's just funny people say thing like "Oh we're going down" after tonights result, strange. I'm feeling considerably more -ve after tonight, but it's because of the Hull and Stoke victories, and Bburn point. I think they were quite disasterous. I'd say WBA down, then 2 of us, boro and pompy. Think stoke have the fight.
  17. Honestly, I think yes. It's very easy to attack him with his injuries and huge wages, but while he's not always been consistent, i never think he's lacked effort.
  18. Went back down to 4 from 5 after recent weeks, shot upto 6 because of our defeat and more importantly, blackburn and boro wins. Plausible scenario for us stay up is 2 of Pompy, Stoke, Boro, Hull hardly pick up any points, like us. Think blackburn are okay. edit: 7, actually James Milner to relegate us.
  19. The only thing is, Blackburn and Spurs have a game in hand and Pompy 2. Still. I'm starting to think WBA, Boro and probably Stoke. Huge defeat for WBA too.
  20. 5, staying 5. But if we didn't win, it would have gone to 7.
  21. Obviously we're still in big danger, but i think that's pretty huge. 3 points are so valuable, particularly against fellow strugglers, but also because i just didn't have any confidence that we actually had the spirit to beat anybody. We do.
  22. HOWAY, HOLD ON!! This next 5 minutes could be so important for our season
  23. Can't really see us winning it. Draw, I'm quite hopeful for.
