Liverpool everton?! there were liverpool fans openly in the everton end this year. Liverpool manu is bigger.

People take support a club to some degree when they buy a couple of shares in them, so i think it's quite plausible that he's genuinely interested when he owns like 99% of the club

The booing perspective - Joey Barton has his say on us...

I hope Barton doesn't get stick tbh. I don't think it was a great move to say it, but he's sort of right, and i respect him for speaking out. -

I don't know if that's a good move by Joey. He seems to be one of the more popular ones, nearly totally because he's good with us at the end of games etc. -
Owen's not going to Wigan so they can off all the money they like, it's irrelevant.

Normally I would say that it's essential we don't sack Sam so early. He's a respected manager, and nobody would want to come with out record of sacking so easily. However, this is a new regime. This is a new clean slate, so it would only be one sacking by them, and of a man they didn't appoint. So I don't think we'd be avoided. I think Ashley/mort will be ambitious. I don't think they'll get rid unless they have a real top class man in waiting.

I was there and would say there was 'significant' opposition to sam. People were leaving after the 3rd but it was still nearly full til the end. The abuse at the Milner/Zog sub was en masse - perhaps the loudest i've heard. -
Seems strange. They're in a higher position than they have been for years.

I thought he looked decent yesterday

Morty plays the game so well. Good on him.

My dream was always to score at the stadium of light. Run to a corner full of mackems, jsut get on my knees and love it, and be jumped on by my team mates. Then run up the other end to the toon fans and just give a huge fist of "get in". I've brought a tear to my eye I don't like stupid celebrations. I like when they go to the fans, or you just see pure passion - Chopra's against Sunderland.

The guy must just want to cry. I feel so sorry for him, thankfully, I can't see it having too much affect on us.

but they had to take time off work (unpaid) to go to the world cup, that's the point. Now they have to work extra to catch up the money. Therefore they are falling behind Sweden and the USA, which are also semi proffessional, but get compensated better. Yes, sorry, I see that now. They should be covered for losses, but apart from that I'd say a wage in the low teens is fair enough.
-
I didn't expect they got more than that. They're only semi-proffesional i think, so have other jobs.

Apparently conceded many goals, but is well thought of

Ref's decision. We wore the away kit on our first win there.

Any Bother Before Or After The Sunderland Game ?
Superior Acuña replied to Jamie's topic in Football
quite sad, same thing happened last time we were there when they scored! Cant imagine there was much trouble as the police seem to have everything covered from what you could see from the buses. It happens every time. Even if it's a disallowed goal This time? One in front of got done by some kids after the 4-1. Some guys got off and chased them -
I refuse to accept that the goal was lucky. Shot or not, you put the ball in that area you know you're going to cause problems.
-
I don't really know how he got off. I suppose you can't be 100% if you didnt know who it was that it was deliberate
-
have you seen one like? What was he doing? Did he find the cathedral impressive? Because I'm assuming he wasn't there for sunderland's Champions League semi-final second leg away at Inter? I've actually seen a mackem in Milan. He was there for a Scotland game though.

Yes. We have been ever since we've played at the SOL. It's quite an amazing site actually. 45 buses or something, in convoy going to war - We're awaited by hoards of mackems who come just to see us. It was better when we went over the Tyne Bridge. A few not very nice people stuck their fingers up at me
