Yeah wonder if we were saving energy given quite a few games coming up and need to keep players fit. The plan was probably to go at them in first half, win the game and then manage it through.

He has tweaked tactics so that we sit deeper or press higher but formation hasn't really changed I don't think apart from few times he switched to 3 at back?

Does he ever lose the ball, so assured on it and seems to always find a pass. He doesn't have much pace but knows where he needs to be at all times. Top player as is Livramento for different reasons.

I actually think we have the type of players to play that system with Hall and Livramento as wing backs and Tonali, Bruno in centre more than they do. I get sticking by his principles and how he sees the game but a good coach would find a system to suit the players to start with and evolve it. Mind Howe has stuck with 433 pretty much throughout his time here but does change tactics in pressing, overloads etc.

We just seem to have a lot more about us, not sure if just his impact or tactics as defence is squeezing up more. Maybe the cover he gives us plus where Bruno is playing etc is giving us more. Also think having a keeper that can pass a ball has helped massively.

Never thought we would be so close to top 4 after lack of transfers in summer and way we were playing earlier in season. Need to keep that momentum now and put huge gap between us and Spurs.

Disappointed we didn't score 5 tbh, absolutely battered them for first 30 mins and funny as fuck the clear shots they did have were fucking awful. We need to just be at it from first minute and rattle the fuck out of them early on. Still going to be a tough game as well aren't great away from home but just need to press them like fuck.

His positioning is absolutely top class as well. Always knows what's around him and covers the space better than Bruno in that role. Top top player

Having Bruno and Tonali in that midfield makes a lot of difference for how we play. Still think midfield sometimes goes missing when we press so high and other team breakthrough as then tons of space.

7 points worse off than this stage last season but quite a few teams worse off or same other that Bournemouth, Forest, Liverpool and Chelsea. Forest have double there points I think.

10 goals in 18 games this season ? Considering we haven't been great most games that's unreal

Absolute monster of a player, reads the game well, cuts everything out, keeps it simple when needs to. Player we needed in that centre.

Thing is we need money to try and build squad in other ways, don't see how we do that without Bruno or Isak going. If City offer over 60 million I can see him gone.

Howe needs to change how we play, formation or something. It's terrible to watch and every other team just look quicker and have more space. Movement is pretty terrible and we just keep given the ball away. If he gets a chance in Jan he needs to bin some of them, maybe even sell one of the bigger players and get some more technical nous in there as we can barely kick a ball.

Great win, dominated possession and then played them at their own game to win. That's how we need to be playing away every time. Didn't fully put pressure and had the bodies in midfield, must have learnt a bit

Yeah fair play, had started to question him as performances were awful but got the last 2 games spot on. Hope we can build on this as 2 massive performances.
