    Crowd v PSV?

Well I am not going so you all need to take 1 off your estimates for a start! If I don't go me dad won't go so that is 2 off. You need to think these things through before putting these crazy numbers down for attendance guesses!!
  3. Voted yes, there is a long way to go before the season starts and whether it is loan players or maybe a proper signing or two we will have some new faces to watch. Hughton is certainly not stupid and will know where he needs to strengthen for sure, even Ashley won't be that stupid to think that the team from last season will do anything but, struggle in the Premier League.
  4. Assuming that you are referring to my post that is a couple up from yours, you mustn't have read it properly. I didn't say that he deserves his place because he is a loyal servant to the club, I said that after the length of time he has waited and sat on the bench he is unlikely to decide all of a sudden that he needs to leave to progress his career or anything.
  5. Harper sat on the bench as number two for 10 years, he is hardly going to be looking to leave now that he is number one.... If the club force a sale then that would be the biggest slap in the face to a very loyal player. Plus he may not be the greatest keeper in the Prem but, he is far from being the worst!

Not a current player but, saw Terry McDermott at Fawdingtons on Barrack Road around lunchtime. He was in a One Series BMW that I guess was his wifes car as the last three digits on the personalised number plate were CMC. Looked well in his knee length swimming shorts and T Shirt.
  7. IMPORTANT. The £10 offer expires on 30th April. Ring the box office on 0844 372 1892 (option 5) with your season ticket number and they will take the £10 plus £1 postage and packing from you there and then, the ticket is sent in the post over the next few weeks direct from Nexus.
  8. Last night when Best came on he looked like he really wanted to score, first time I have taken that impression away of him. He was looking all the time for the move or turn that would give him the yard of space to let go. Maybe with a regular run in a team, say the reserves, he would gain that sharpness and pace required but, we all know that in the premiership you don't get a second to compose yourself on the ball. You have to be sharp as a pin to score!
  9. The "Your support" chant makes me cringe when I hear it. A bit like that Division 3 "Easy Easy" chant that occasionally makes an appearance from time to time (at other clubs I hasten to add). Plymouth FC and their supporters were nothing short of tremendous last night. It is easy to forget that they were also relegated after 6 seasons in the Championship. We entered that league at the start of this season full of fear that we were slipping and would end up even lower, it was clear that the media and certain sections of fans from other clubs - not just the mackems - were revelling in our misfortune. probably in reality just grateful it was not them and their own clubs facing the precipice that we stood before! However, through sheer determination from the players we have battled through and won this league well, we will remember this season (hopefully) for our very proud home record and the fact that we have lost so very rarely throughout a very tough campaigne. Some of the more enlightened media commentators have now conceded that Newcastle are a Premier League team and the league has been missing us. Not necessarilly for the team persay but, more for the infrastructure , the fact our stadium is quality, right in the centre of our city and as a result away fans mix freely with home fans making the pre match atmosphere very special. Next season we will be full more often than not so let's use this years experience to come back as better, slightly more humble and more sporting towards our opposing fans. Would be great if the abiding image the media want to take away from Newcastle next season is the fantastic city and brilliant fans who make every home game special instead of their favourite fat drunken Geordie wrapped in a bed sheet with some dopey slogan written on it with gloss paint.

    CHAMPIONS!!!

Great season capped off with the trophy for the league! Completely happy!
  11. http://www.networkonetickets.co.uk/magpie-mover I guess they will put the online form up shortly along with the address where to send it. I have had one for the last few years and it saves me a fortune on the Metro.
  12. Hence this thread mate, ha ha!
  13. We should go through the whole team singing "*insert players name here*...give us a wave" and if they dont wave...."Boooooooooooo!!!!" and sing again until they do wave! That would be excellent.
  14. nufc.com say that their 2700 allocation was sold out quickly and that they believe that there will be plenty of Blackpool fans in the home areas as well. It will be nice for them to see a proper stadium.......
  15. From what I have seen of him at Fulham he is no better than when he was here. It is players like him who are happy to come for the wages but, really can't be arsed to play for the team that I am glad we won't see the likes of again under the current regeim!

Were they wearing name badges? And their full kits?
  17. They are not wanted nor needed by the club Sorry like lads but if we want 52,000 ay every game they are wanted and needed, aye its a pisser they walked away BUT I bet they watched every TV game bet they all still love NUFC just still hate Ashley. I said from day one though that by not going to the match only hurts one person and that is you! Ashley will find someone else to sit in your seat. Personally I am not bothered whether the ticket holders who left last year come back or not. Doubt we will have too much trouble being close to full every week next season.
  18. Are there no tickets left to buy for those games?
  19. Really good point there about fans who have jumped ship. Wonder how many are going to try and get a season ticket for next year?
  20. Forest win, makes for a better feeling when we pulp Sheff Utd tonight and are mathmatically promoted. WBA can do what they like - no effect on my feelings! We a) get promoted then b) go for the league! In the words of Roman Abramavic - Seemples!
  21. What he really needs to concentrate on is his first touch and control in my opinion, too many times his second touch is a tackle! Aside from that the goal was very welcome!
  22. That article in the Mail, for some reason they have decided that it is necessary to remind the world that Newcastle also employ the services of Joey Barton, who apparently is no stranger to the court room. WTF that that got to do with any of the incident that is supposed to have taken place? Awesome!
