Don't know if anyone has posted this yet but: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/8637138/Sports-Direct-profits-trigger-88m-bonus-windfall-for-staff.html Sport Direct's 2,000 staff received a windfall on Thursday after the retailer hit its profits target for the second year in a row, triggering an £88m share bonus with an average payout worth nearly £44,000. I will delete thread if there is a mention of this anywhere else on here!

It says you can have an adult and junior for £20 as well. How does that work? £20 to go on me own or £20 to go and take my lad..... Think I might give it a miss.

SSN tonight, Woodgate signs for Stoke but, expects to sit out the first 10 matches with a wrist injury as a result!
-
Sadly Ashley's idea of smartening up the outside of St James' would seem to include his company red and blue logo being slagged all over the place.......... I would rather the outside stayed as it is to be honest.........

Hopefully on a bit more wages than the pitence he was reported to be on while he was here......

If Nolan was not going to be a regular in the team because we had (or are preparing to sign) a replacement all of his positive influence could just as easily become negative. Personally I want to wish him well at West Ham.
-
We need another signing very soon along the same magnitude of Cabaye to lift everyones spirits following todays news and Joey Barton outbursts.. and I am not suggesting that Neil Taylor will be acceptable.

When I was 17 I went on holiday to Spain as a boy but, came back as a man! I know exactly what that quote means. hahah. Zog's been shagging Wigan lasses....

How can Liverpool pay £18m for Henderson and insult us with a £4 or 5m offer for Enrique??? Jeez!

Later this month, I think around 10th rings a bell.

If there was even the slightest chance the Newcastle would consider selling Tiote I don't think that they would have held him out of the final two matches of the season, I mean he would be worth the same whether banned for a game or two or otherwise so we would have played him if he was going anywhere. My opinion!

Think the 10% was deducted from the cost of the ticket on the form itself. Can't remember for sure but, I know I checked mine and I was being given the discount.

I am not in Level 7 but, this all seems like utter bullshit to me! I cannot believe how the club is treating loyal fans!

I keep hearing rumours that we are getting Elmander - does anyone have anything that could add some substance to this?
-
Ok so it is not based on every aspect of turnover it is purely earnings related to league position and TV money. Got you! And the fact that Sky only want to show matches that people will actually want to watch.....
-
Is that the only reason? Or is that stat only in relation to live TV appearances?
-
Ha ha, I felt compelled as I was saying the words in my own head in my bestest Rainier Wolfcastle accent.....
-
These goggle, they do nothing........
-
That is not the reason, it is because he always makes sure that he hires a mackem to do work around his house!

It is actually a length of unused wallpaper isn't it? Would love to see the other side to see how tastlessly their mother has decorated their parlour.....

Yay, they have marched bravely through Newcastle, in the middle of the night, with a rolled up rag of paper - unfurled their creation and took a quick snap. That is truly hilarious!

Overall reflections Season of contrasts, many highs and several lows. When I look back on this season I will consider it to be a resounding success based on the same squad, effectively, coming up as Championship winners and doing a tremendous job in the Premiership. The difference in apparent team spirit over the last two seasons in comparason to previous years, where infighting has been obvious, has been easy to note. This group (to quote Pardew) of players have done us all proud and brough credibility back to our club. I enjoyed the Championship season but, this has been something else entirely. High Moment Without doubt the 4th goal in our comeback game against Arsenal. The atmosphere in the ground was electric, even the East Stand was rocking..... Beating S***er***d was a high but, the derby games are always very tense for me as a supporter so I don't really enjoy them. Tiote's goal went in against Arsenal and the euphoria was immeasurable! Total high!! Low Moment Haven't really had a moment this season that would rate as an absolute low, being relegated the previous year was a painful pill to swallow but, everything since then has been very enjoyable. My brother in law texting to say that Carroll had left was a serious low, one that we have recovered from, got up and just carried on with the job in hand to the best of the remaining players ability! Wasn't too chuffed with the WBA and Bolton away results but, poor results are quickly forgotten as soon as a good one comes along. Best Player Colo without doubt. We have never had such a stylish centreback at our club, in my memory anyway. He oozes class and hardly puts a foot wrong. Special mentions must go to Barton and Jose for solid performances and consistancy. Best Individual Performance Nolan in the 5 - 1 was a sublime Captains performance, understood the magnitude of the game and stepped in with a masterclass in how to humiliate your opponent. Ben Arfa in the Everton game will take some beating as well. Best Buy Going with concensus here and saying Tiote. Solid and incredible value for his transfer fee. Most Improved Barton, Colo, Simpson, Best, have all thrived in the current set up and improved measurably.

We could have done that but, I wanted to get a seat that was high enough up so that I wouldn't get the sun in my eyes too badly or for too long at this time of the year but, more at the start of the season. It was quite nice being inside the ground where there was nobody else in it.
