  1. If anyone sits near me in the East Stand they will get some gems, my dad comes out with some of the most cringworthy stuff ever. He misses practically every single piece of action requiring me to recreate it for him.I have to tell him who scored, what happened there etc etc. Sometimes wonder why he comes along.... Although I will modify this to say that I am really glad that he does!! The bloke to the other side, who has become a pretty good mate as it goes, comes out with some pearler of one liners. You need to be there to really appreciate them, I guess it is the sort of banter that only people that go to the match can experience. And, yes, we do occasionally get things wrong and make arses of ourselves in front of the whole surrounding area but, who cares? I hear people chuntering around us saying that we are thick etc (When I turn round to try and see who it is, so I can tell them to fuck off they shut up quick enough, one of these days I'll catch you, you wanker!) Fuck man, it is only what we think, if you don't like it don't listen and have your own conversation!!
  2. Bristol's main threat in terms of pace and creativity, Campbell-Rice was sent off on Tuesday night and therefore should not play on Saturday. Can only be a positive for us.
  3. I have been to Teeside today, Guisborough is a very pretty little town. Such a shame that as I was heading back towards the A19 the whole horizon is dominated by that horrendous skyline that is Middlesbrough and all those ICI places around the outskirts. Pumping pure filth into the atmosphere. The ICI factories aren't much better.............
  4. I have heard of tons of Geordies who are either already going or plan to go to sit in home support areas. Can't see this being anything other than another win for us, they do seem to carve out plenty of chances in their games but, seem to have a huge problem in finishing. If Hughton has any sense he will go 4 4 2 for this in the same manner that he does for home games and go for them, if we go ahead early they will crumble!
  5. It's a Saturday 3pm kick-off. And? It's at St James'.......... go to the match! (assuming that you live somewhere possible to get here for Sat at 3pm!)

    Season Tickets

You would think that would be a problem but, I have made some pretty good friends in the area I sit.

    Season Tickets

Mine is paid for as part of the 3 year scheme as well. If we are promoted this season I doubt that the ticket price will stay the same plus I am pretty sure the demand would increase again, maybe not to sell out proportions but, certainly a lot more people will see fit to support the club again when we are back in the Premiership. I hope that I am offered another 3 year scheme, it makes paying for the ticket a whole lot easier when it is in ten monthly instalments.

    Players in public

all the refs above 3th divition have to keep logs from officiated games. His was not an official log, he said in an interview that he tallied up his figures to see who he had booked the most, sent off the most and generally been a cunt to the most! He didn't say the cunt bit, that was my interpretation!

    Players in public

Apparently he kept a written log of every game he officiated over and every card he gave out. He was a very poor ref on a massive power trip, glad he no longer referees! Uriah Rennie that is!
  10. It's because I am busy on a Tuesday night so cannot make the match, I hope you all understand!
  11. On NUFC.com it says that Shola won't feature in this game due to a hamstring injury that will keep him out for a few weeks......... How the fuck can this have happened? He plays like he doesn't see a ball from one Saturday to the next!! His fitness record beggers belief!
  12. I once sacrificed a chicken for NUFC.........
  13. Didn't Lua go to Doncaster or somewhere last year and not really do much? Hope he gets loads of starts at Brighton and comes back a better, stronger player as a result.
  14. Ther are two games that I wished I had gone to: 1) Sir Bobby Robson Charity match 2) Shearer testamonial
  15. Does anyone know why the Metros were all held up last night? I had a cheeky beer after the match in The Centurion and then went down to Central Metro got on a train that was at the platform and stood there for around 10 mins before it pulled out! Also on the Friday night theme - the match being moved on police advise because they couldn't handle two sets of away fans on a Saturday afternoon........... Wasn't as if Wigan were going to bring anymore than about 100 fans up to mackem land anyway, one of the worst supported teams I have ever had the misfortune to know...

    Players in public

There is a black Aston with the reg N11 UFC that I have seen around Low Fell a couple of times, anyone know if that belongs to a player or just a wealthy fan?
  17. When I played Sunday morning football I wasn't bothered whether I was playing at home or away, apart from the fact that we had to travel in various states of alcohol induced states to some other venue, everything else was the same. The best team always seemed to win the match!
  18. Please be Michael Owen.............. Although, whoever it is you have to feel for them!!
  19. Anyone else notice that Loven's hat-trick was "the perfect hat-trick"? Right foot Head Left foot That should make Soccer Am on Saturday morning!!
  20. I am going, think there will be only me and Skirge there judging by most peoples reaction to this game! I am really looking forward to going, it has been a couple of weeks since I was at a match and longer since I felt the satisfaction of a home win!! I need my fix!! Full strength first team out please!!
  21. In all honesty that remark was slightly tongue in cheek anyway, the chances of either of those two clubs being relegated is practically zero! Would be great if it did happen though!
  22. I agree. I don't think we will get more than 50k in for WBA, a lot depends on the away support being sold out as to the size of the crowd. Two positives: 1) We now have the record for this league for the highest attendance since all seater stadiums, that is a record unlikely to be beaten unless Man Utd or Arsenal get relegated any time soon. We will almost certainly beat this record with at least one full house this season as the likelihood of promotion draws nearer. 2) Our average attendances are still tremendous, we are over 40k practically every week, now that the half season ticket holders are here the weekly home average will be near mid 40's without too much effort.
  23. True, it wasn't really level 7 that lowered the crowd for the Derby game it was the more expensive ticket areas, loads of gaps in the bottom left and bottom right areas of the Milburn and fairly sparce below the directors seats in the Platinum Club.
